I love how people just follow each others ass and false accuse anyone

One of my friends just got suspended for 2 weeks after one game, a game where he only said one thing and didn't say anything for the rest of the game.

So I guess he was being a bad jungle without many ganks, so their mid laner started flaming at him. When he ganked mid and got the kill, people said he 'ks' and hes trash, which I find is dam toxic. After hearing too many shit talking, he finally said "Why dont u guys stop crying and play". The only thing he said the entire game. Then he muted his entire team. Then after the game the mid laner started talking to the other team about how my friend "didn't stop crying for 30 mins and was toxic/trash". The other team believed him and started trash talking too. Well thanks to people falsely accusing and reporting him, he got suspended for 14 days.

Some people are just more toxic than Donald Trump.

**By the way if you're one of those people who wants so desperately to prove me wrong, I gotta tell you that I'm here to tell a story of what happened, it's not like I'm here to debate about whether he was toxic or not. So if you wanna comment about how im wrong and you're right, why don't we just shut up and go play another ranked game.

The extra reports from that one game did literally nothing. One report flags the game for review, any further reports are redundant.

"Why dont u guys stop crying and play"

That single comment is not enough to jump straight to a 14-day ban. Either something more happened that game (which doesn't seem to be the case), or he had prior offenses of some kind.

So here's the thing. No one is going to believe he got 2 week banned for verbal abuse if he only said one chat line. No one.

There are a couple of possibilities here.

  1. He's lying to you.
  2. You're misinformed/confused.
  3. He got 2 week banned for intentional feeding/trolling.
  4. This game was indeed a false/erroneous report, but he's had several other valid reports and was close enough to a ban already that it doesn't matter.

Here's the thing. I was at his house when we played that game. "Why dont u guys stop crying and play" was the only thing he said before muting everyone else.

What I definitely do know:

  1. Riot doesn't care about what he or his teammates actually said in game, they just ban whoever has the most reports.

That's kind of true! Riot doesn't ban people over one game. They ban people that are consistently reported over a large of number of games. The automatic system is designed to only punish people that are habitually toxic, those that refuse to accept that what they're doing is wrong, not people that freak out over one game every once in a while. As long as you're not reported in the majority of your games, you won't get banned- even though you're toxic in the minority of them.

I honestly have no idea how Riot's tribunal system works. I know this girl who used to play league, now she doesn't because she thinks the system is retarded. Last year she got suspended for 7 days because she was toxic(Girls..). When she got unbanned, she started playing normal again. Because she wasn't too good at it people were flaming at her about how she should 'just go uninstall the game' and shes 'trash' and etc..

She got pissed and said some things I guess on all chat. Next thing she knows is that people reported her(but not the guy who was trash talking in the first place)for "being toxic" even though they have no idea what her teammates said to her. She got suspended for 14 days the same day.

If I was in her situation I would've visited Riot to hear what they have to say about this crap.

The system has changed since then, it got updated in patch 5.18.

It's now an escalating punishment system: If you don't reform during or after your punishment, you'll be immediately escalated into the next punishment. 10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 2 week ban Permanent ban

The worse the punishment is, the fewer games it takes to be escalated. So if your 2 week ban had recently ended (say you've only had your account for 2 games) and you got validly reported, it's very likely your account would be instantly permabanned.

Really negative chat can skip punishment tiers, though- so if you use hate speech or death threats, expect to go straight to a 2 week ban or perma ban, even if you've never had any other punishment.

Which just proves how ill inform you are about how reports work. Again we are going to need more information than that. Hence why we ask for chatlogs. Because it's really hard to believe he was ban just for saying that one thing. Either he said more, or he wasn't ban for that game and was probably from the one before, heck he could have not been ban for toxic behavior and it could have been something else. Plus why target your friend? If he had gotten a lot of reports from people that could mean something. But then again if everyone is reporting him in game he has to be doing something wrong. Also note that your reports need to be legitimate in order for it to register, any type of false reports will get thrown out!

All in all I'm not sure what the point of this topic was if you didn't want to discuss this. That's kind of the point of a board/forum.

As I said earlier, I'm just a story teller not a debater.

Anyway, I know from his personality that he barely says anything in games. When we duo normal games he would say at most 2 or 3 things a game even if others are trash talking at him.
I hardly doubt that he was flaming and talking trash previous games.

Yeah, it's not the number of reports in a single game that counts. As one person said, one report or multiples in a game have the same effect of flagging that particular game.

It's basically % of your games that you're reported in (reports that aren't automatically detected as false reporting). All permabans, as far as I know, are reviewed by Riot themselves, though this may have changed.

If you think it wasn't legit, submit a ticket.

Yeah some people are more toxic than Donald Trump, like the idiot kids between the ages of 18-27 that think Obama was a good president and have ruined this country because they want everything handed to them in life instead of working for it.
