Am I the only person that thinks the way Riot handles players being afk and leaving matches to be entirely unfair? Some people have lives and can't control if they have to leave or not. That should not get them put in a lower priority queue. Neither should having connection issues. I was just in a game and was reconnecting for 15 minutes and was promptly placed in a lower priority queue? Where does that make sense. I do NOT think players should be penalized for leaving a game, having connection issues, or being afk. Sometimes you can't control these things. Personally, I only find these disciplinary measures to be fit in ranked games and during e-sports. Not anywhere else. I am getting sick and tired of being punished for things that are not my fault. Riot, if you see this, please listen to your community and put something like this into effect.

Leavebuster shouldn't be punishing you for rare leaves.

But there needs to be a punishment for leaving/dc'ing from games. Unless it's a problem with Riot's servers, your connection is your responsibility. Your teammates are forced to play the game at an extreme disadvantage and it's not fair to them.

So if you're having frequent enough interruptions to your games you need to fix it before subjecting your team members to an unreliable teammate.

Then don't play League. Same goes for connection issues. If you have super unstable internet, don't play League.

By playing a game, you promise to devote the duration of the game, to the game. Without you, the game is essentially ruined for atleast 4 other players.

It's not fair for THEM that you can't control your schedule.

Only play League when you know with atleast 95% certainty that you don't have to leave in the middle of a game.

Well, you're in the extreme minority of players. I estimate that maybe less than 0.5% of people think like you do.

I am getting sick and tired of being punished for things that are not my fault.

And your teammates are sick and tired of losing because of you. It's not their fault you were on their team either.

Riot, if you see this, please listen to your community and put something like this into effect.

no, im with you mate, riots behavior of forcing to punish people for leaving a que or game is unfair! Whatever the reason, there should not be a punishment, just you get something taken away, like essence, and the players in game receive an intermediate AI bot

You don't get leaver bustered for 1 game only.

There has to be a recent increased frequency of leaving / AFKing games for it take into effect and punish people.

So if you've been leaver bustered, recall back to the recent games that you've AFKed / left. The game that got you punished is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

They can control whether or not they queue up for a match. If you queue up for a match knowing you have a higher than normal chance of being called away for whatever reason, that is your fault when you leave.

Neither should having connection issues.

No matter the reason, the result is the team is without a player for some time or the whole game. If you rarely have connection issues, you will not be punished.

The majority of the community thinks that habitual AFKers/leavers or those with constant connection issues need to either fix their problems or not play games. It is not right to say that the game of 9 other players should be ruined just so someone can play when they know they leave/disconnect frequently.

As others have said, LeaverBuster does not punish you for one, or even a couple leaves (unless you are a brand new account or leave multiple games in a row). LeaverBuster will only punish you once you've shown a pattern of leaving games. If you are constantly being called away, you need to either rethink your priorities or play a game where your leaving won't affect other people. If you are constantly having connection issues, you need to resolve those issues before you queue up again. You do not have the right to ruin others games just because you are unwilling to resolve the issues causing you to leave.
