Harassment vs AFK

What is worse? I just recently played a game where I (in-game) experienced harassment by my teammates (wow ikr, seems far fetched). In the games progression some of my teammates began to tilt and play bad witch lead to them being toxic towards me etc. I suspect some of them being premades as I got most of the shit slung against me. I didn't nearly play as bad as they made it seem to be. This was a normal game and i could stand to take it, I've experienced similar things before, but this time with my whole team taking it out on me it was beyond quickly went beyond my limit to care for the game. The game already looked like a loss as we all were behind and i could care enough to play it trough so I left the game.

I know i could've muted them for the start and spared myself from any harassment or toxic behavior against me but as they started to flame i just felt like it was too late to ignore. Maybe we could've won the game if all just cared for themselves. Tho I don't believe they deserve it. Lucian

Both behaviours are subject to variation, so some AFK-leaning players who dangle their champs in fountain because they're petty can be just as harmful as people hurling insults at you.

That being said, it can be very hard to care about a team that is more devoted to mud-slinging than working past differences in order to secure a win. So at that point, it isn't unreasonable to not put in a winning effort. If you're the only one doing it, it will be draining and difficult. That being said, it's preferable to keep putting in any kind of effort, over just afk'ing in base.

So, TL;DR, neither one is inherently worse, as they're both subject to degrees of severity. Leaving a game, while understandable in your case, is still inappropriate and likely got you reported.

The lesson here, most likely, you've already learned, which is if the behaviour gets out of hand, muting them is the right call, and reporting them after. It may help prevent that much tilt in the future, to some degree.

What I do is ask the player(s) to stop saying the offensive comment to me. if that continues mute them and report them at the end of the game. end of story.. they may report u, but as long as u dont go into all chat calling for reports or int feed then u should be fine... in the comments for the report just tell them what happend and to let the chat log tell the story..

i guess afk would be worse? i find them both harmless myself. you can mute the harassment but you cant take control of the afk person.
