I was banned on accident

Greetings all,

I wanted to make a post on a forum to explain my situation because I feel like I'm getting automated responses in the support emails.

My account recently had a 2 week suspension a couple of months ago, and I accepted the ban because I felt it was needed. I was really aggressive towards other players and would pin the blame on them every time I had a chance. I would flame, and AFK a few times, and throw games on purpose because of my ego. So I received a 2 week suspension and during that time tried my best to reform my attitude when I played ranked games. I never blame team mates for losses any more because of this, I only try and help and offer my advice, and if they're unwilling to accept it I don't force it down their throat, I just move on. I don't argue and I don't flame, and I'll never throw a game on purpose.

The other day, I received a permanent ban on my main account. This bothers me mainly because, throughout the years, I believe I have purchased over $4,500.00 worth of RP on that account. On top of that, the reason behind why I got banned was from me quoting a youtube video, towards my friend who was on Skype with me at the time in game.

Now for those of you who haven't seen the video yet, there's a player playing Sion in the top lane and he has a denial of reality by being this extremely uncooperative player. My friend and I found this funny and since I didn't have my mic on at the time I was responding to him in the game chat by using the quotes the Sion made to make a joke.

What I'm guessing happened is Riot has a chat analyzing bot that picked up what I said and flagged it, and because of that my account received another flag and therefore a permanent suspension. I don't feel like its deserved because I've changed my attitude and become a better player, I've even climbed up from Silver to Gold in that time and was continuing on towards higher elos since my 2 week suspension, all because I feel like I've become a more supportive player on my team (literally played support for like 50 games in a row).

Anyway, I hope making this post on a forum will somehow make this better known to a Riot Employee because I can't seem to reach anyone through twitter, or the Riot Support through the League of Legends website.

TL;DR My account received a permanent ban because I was quoting a Youtube video of a guy who was flaming his teammate.

(There was no response to anything I said, except for the random Caitlyn on our team who I had linked the video to in champ select who thought the video was funny too and was responding to me in the same way I was talking.)

Packie: this zac so bad lol     <-Zac was on the enemy team and made a play where he ulted no one (said this in team chat)
Packie: let u die

Like, I understand what I was saying may have been offensive, but I wasn't being TOXIC. I still played the game and did everything a normal player would do, I don't think I deserve to be PERMANENTLY banned for this and if its breaking rules which I know it is now... I won't be doing it again (obviously, because I'm banned), but if I had a second chance I wouldn't do anything like this again.

So you got banned for being "toxic". So when you get off being banned you spam "you're a fucking idiot" in chat.

Ok im confused here. Who was you in this video?

You say that you made a joke by quoting the Sion in the chat but at no time during this video do I see anyone tying in the chat anything that the Sion was saying.

i do love how the guys moma comes in and blasts him though lol.

You have to get reported before the bot will do anything, therefore someone in the game thought your chat was uncalled for.

And that's what the /msg or /r command is for, so that you can say things like you probably were without the other members of the team hearing.

I remember the time one of my accounts got banned accidentally.

O wait... they have never been banned. Strange............ Guess that not typing hate messages in chat works after all. Who knew.....

riots ban system does not ban unless someone reports.

so whoever was on your team was offended and reported you, and you got perma banned for it. the thing with being on skype and typing in chat is there is no way for your teammates to know that, so someone sees you type hate filled messages and reports you, they obviously felt uneasy being on the team with you, and now those same messages that were a joke but the person didnt know are flagged by the system, because of the report. the system also does not know you are on skype with a friend joking. it sees hate, and a report, and bans you.

the solution. dont reply in chat to stuff said on skype, and dont reply on skype to stuff said in chat.
