Will We Get a Response to Bot (Automated Script) Farming Issue?

New players are fresh blood that keep the League community alive and thriving.

From what I have seen the bot farming issue is excessive and I have great concern for the new players. I have gone through the pain of losing in AI games, but it's not as bad as losing by playing with 4 script farming bots.

I was trying the beginner/intro level CO-OP vs. AI games today with my alt account. It was level 20-ish but was still placed with 4 xp-farming bots. All four accounts lost to beginner level AI most of the time. I can't imagine how a new player can overcome such terrific experience where the farming bots are not trying to win, but trying to not get detected.

I hope there won't be much disagreement that playing against bots is a good chance for newbies to learn basic mechanics, to get familiar with the map, and to know other new players. A good CO-OP vs. AI environment is valuable for beginners.

I have seen multiple discussions/reports on the bot issues recently; I was hoping the voice would be heard, but none got official replies. Script in bot games has been an issue some time, and I am now not even sure if it is a company policy to ignore the posts about farming scripts. After all I have never seen an announcement on banning script xp-farmers/issue addressed in patch notes or any news (please feel free to correct me if there had been such thing in the past).

In short, given my own experience as beginner I feel really sorry to the incoming players who will find bot teammates in their games. I'm afraid disregarding the script farming issue will result in loss of player base and a really dark future for the game.

EDIT: Here is a match where a new player playing Mundo tried to carry their (fake) teammates but still lost to beginner's AI. [removed by moderation]

It is an ever growing issue that has existed for quite some time unfortunately. I too have created a posting about this issue and have seen many instances of scripted players. While I may not be a new player, I still find this to be a detriment to my own experience and most importantly the experience of new players.

We had responses from long time ago and the response hasn't changed.

Leveling Bots get banned in waves, it makes it harder for the developers to know what got them detected. In the mean while, we just have to live with them.

Riot also does try to match the bots together in attempts to reduce the damage done to real players, it works most the time, but some of the bots still get matched with players, especially during the low playrate times of the day. Make sure you report them, so they can match the bots with other bots.

Riot probably wont do much about it. They removed Twisted Treeline, which was the breeding ground for bots, so the botters had to move to somewhere else. They did nothing then, I don't see them doing anything now.

All you can do is report all those you find who are botting so they can be flagged for the next script ban wave. Though hopefully with them being on sr and aram now we'll start to see them less and less as those maps have more people playing them then TT did, so hopefully that's more accounts being flagged.

For those who are not so sure about the fact that new players do exist or get hurt, here is a proof. From a farming bot I found this match where a new player actually lost to beginner's AI while trying to carry the (fake) team. https://i.imgur.com/JV6Tjd3.jpg

Hey,

I removed your image as we do not allow naming and shaming. If you did not report these "players" in the post-game, send in a Support ticket or message them on Twitter.

I have bots in my matches all the time and it's super annoying. They usually have a male or female first name and random mixed case letters. If you see these players, report them.

You're still under the impression that Riot doesn't own and operate many of these account selling websites. Those bots are more important than you are in Riots eyes.
