Will Riot Games do anything about the current scripting epidemic?

I play league almost nightly with a group of friends but recently we have been playing less and less games each night and a few of them have completely dropped out of playing league and uninstalled entirely. The reason? Scripting. Scripting has become so blatant and common that it is making the game almost unbearable to play. Whether it be map hacks, damage scripts, or just good ole fashioned spell scripting it happens in almost every match.

I played a game last night with an enemy Shaco jungler that was damage scripting. At level 4 with just a Stalker's blade and boots he was autoing me for 300 dmg a hit. When he came to gank my lane my life bar disappeared within 2 hits from him and one auto from the enemy ADC. When I confronted him about it he admitted to having the script then asked what I was going to do about it. This is how bad it has gotten, they will admit cheating because they know nothing is going to happen. This obviously isn't the first time I have run into it (two games prior I had a map hack scriptor on enemy team) but it is getting to the point where I'm considering uninstalling league. Which will come as a huge blow to me because I have spent a lot of money on RP over the past couple of years. What can I do? Report him? Yeah of course I did, but is that going to help? Probably not.

To everyone at Riot, I don't think you understand how bad the situation has gotten with scripting. Chances are these days that you will have at least one person scripting in your game. The most common being map hacks. I can't tell you how many times I have had friends spectating my games tell me that I was being pinged out in a brush that had no vision in it or even leading up to it. You need to put as many resources as you can into solving this issue before you lose your entire gaming population due to cheaters.

TL;DR Scripting has become out of control and Riot needs to devote major resources to resolving the issue before it destroys the game entirely.

I'm sure they are, but it's a much more complex issue than people seem to give it credit for.

Anecdotal, but I can't say I have ever encountered someone where I could confirm 100% he or she was scripting by playstyle, and I've been playing since Season 1. I'm sure it's a terrible issue to get into a game with someone doing that, but at the same time I have to wonder if the impact is truly great enough to warrant Riot pulling significant resources from other projects.

Related to this, I've been accused of, or had my friends accused of scripting when it 100% was not the case. I am not sure I buy into the whole "i know what it looks like, it's easy to tell" mentality, when this is exactly what the other players claimed. I as well have never personally come across anything that struck me as obvious scripting. One instant of a pre-emptive flash or side step is just as likely to be someone jumping the gun on a reaction in expectation of an obvious skill shot etc.

If you ever check out these scripting sites you will often find their forums filled with posts from players who have gotten their accounts permabanned due to using scripts. Riot can't be too upfront about how they handle these types of things as it would only give away their methods of how they can detect scripts.

Hopefully with the changes to the Client that are coming it will drastically reduce scripting and hacks.....or at least give riot more resources to deal with it.

I was shocked at how many hack videos there were for league on youtube. I mean I feel stupid for thinking league is safe this whole time.

Yeah scripting is a major issue, especially in higher elo because I can tell the difference between someone in diamond who can side-step, and someone who stutter-steps 1000x times and stands still when being hooked, casted a spell on them, etc.
