Uh, are you people outside your mind? I've spent over $300 on this game and just got permabanned

I have supported you, Riot, since 2010. Urgot was the first champion released since I started playing this game - that was, what, pre-S1?

dude, it's not perma ban what are you talking about:|..

It says clear: "you are banned until 2150" or something like that....you just need to wait

Yeah, nothing is relevant to your ban when it comes to money. You purchased Riot's merchandise, not a "Ban-Immunity" account status. Judging from your permaban status, it seems you may have either had chat restrictions & 14 days suspended in the past, or you went over your head with you & your toxicity above average.

I love threads like this.

"I don't deserve a ban! Here is proof of me being a terrible person! Don't you agree that I don't deserve a ban?!?!"

"I've spent over $300" "I have paid you over $500"

If you've been playing since pre-season 1 then I would hope you have read the terms of use that you agree to every single time a new patch come out. In the terms of use they explicitly say that cussing at people or being toxic WILL result in a permanent deletion of your account with no refund to you (regardless how much you've spent.) Not MIGHT result in permanent deletion, WILL. I don't know how they could have spelled stuff out any clearer for you.

If you sign up for a new phone plan or get a car loan do you read the contract before signing? I sure hope so. So why would you not read the contract for a game you were spending hundreds of dollars on?

I assure you your supposed 500 dollars dropped on this game are a drop in the barrel for Riot. Regardless, even if it was a meaningful difference to their profits? They don't care and they shouldn't care. You KNEW the rules, and if you didn't, you knowingly refused to read them. Bottom line, they followed through with their ToS that you agreed to. Like it or not, it's good business practice banning children, yes, children, like you who ruin other people's games.

Course, judging from your responses thus far, you don't really care, you're just mad. But hey, I already typed this up, might as well post it now.

Also it's Rune Pages, not tomebooks. Sheesh and I thought calling champs toons irked me...

The amount you spend on this game has nothing to do with punishments. You break the rules you get punished. You could spend 10000$ and still get a perma if you violate the TOS and EULA

Riot owns all of the accounts and the contents on them and all they do is allow players to use them. The consequences of toxic behaviour are explicitly stated in the Terms of Service you agree to during installation and after every single patch.

If your behaviour is toxic, then Riot doesn't want you playing their game and they are well within their rights to bar you from it for the sake of everyone else in the community.

Quite frankly, it is similar to a gym membership. Regardless of how much you have paid them, they are fully within their rights to strip you of your access to their facilities if you violate their rules.

It's been ~6 years since 2010.

That's 300x6=50

50/12= $4.17 a month.

You're a casual donor.

Buying skins and champs, spending mass amounts of money on LoL does not grant you immunity. stop acting like riot should unban you just because you spent money on the game.

Reaper Review4/1/2016, 12:57:26 AM6 votes

Let me put it to you this way.

I've been on this forum for about a week now making threads and sharing my experiences after being perma'd myself about ~2 months ago. I've actually demonstrated a change of mindset, and worked towards trying to help others.

Even with this, I still didn't have my own ban lowered.

I've also spent more on this game than you have, by a pretty good margin, but I didn't even use it in my defense. I'm not interested in the money, but in being able to do something I've learned to find fun in with my friends.

Good for you, you apparently haven't learned how to not be an asshole for over 5-6 seasons. And you also apparently never understood the fact that spending money doesn't give you ban immunity because that's not what you're spending money for. You're spending it for skins/champions/what have you. Nice day, and good riddance.

GaleWinUnleashed4/1/2016, 12:56:44 AM4 votes

If this is an example of your usual behavior, it sounds like you should've seen the ban coming from a mile away. Paying money does not give you or anyone else the right to shoot your mouth off, online or not.

Furthermore, it's entirely within Riot's rights to throw darts at the player list and ban whoever they hit. You may dispute the fairness of your ban if you like, but you cannot argue against their authority to do so. Read the ToS sometime; might be a good way to use up this extra free time you suddenly find yourself with.

To those saying "Buying skins does not grant you immunity"

I JUST put a ticket in for my account. And literally 1/2 the questions are "Have you purchased Riot Points with money?" "With which methods? Paypal? Credit Card?" "How much?" "First 5 champions purchased?" "What's the last purchase you made?"

So those telling me Cash Shop doesn't grant immunity - OK.
