Unfair/unwarranted chat restrictions

I was in a game with one of the most horrible toxic trolls i've ever seen.. was using very hateful, homophobic and racial insults, and repeatedly told me to kill myself, all completely unwarranted. I wasnt mean or rude to him in any way, and i was even trying to stop people from being toxic to eachother as i usually do. This player then started to tell the enemy team over and over to report me and that i was being toxic and rude. I think they believed him, and i now have a 10 game chat restriction for doing absolutely nothing, and i am unable to receive rewards for getting high ranks after games.

this is completely unfair, I've done nothing wrong and i could even prove it if needed. multiple people on my team were appalled by this one toxic player and he was also reported and punished.

Is there anything that can be done? or must i just suck it up?

Sorry if you have a 10 game chat restriction, you said toxic things or you asked people to report someone, both of those are ban-able offenses. Don't respond to the trolls and you won't get a restriction. You were also likely toxic in previous games or exhibiting similar behaviours.

You can post the chat logs and I can be more specific. Riot doesn't want you to retaliate sorry bro, don't type and report. Mute, focus on mechanics and have fun, if you can't have fun, I suggest you uninstall the game just like I am currently doing.

you did something wrong mate. because when ive been chat banned for saying some pretty toxic shit, riot provided three different games as examples. So to say that only that game got you chat restricted is BS. trust me, i've been chat banned twice in the past 2 months. those two times are when i started to insult people specifically and constantly(which is stupid as shit because that is what i do IRL).

I have never had a chat restrict before.. Also i had no idea asking to report someone is bannable? I have always done that.. and where can i go to read the chat logs? i thought you couldnt do that.

also... I am literally almost NEVER toxic to people, the only time i ever could be considered slightly toxic is if i am simply defending myself from aggressive behavior
