Punishments in Co-op vs AI. (why?)

I know that not many people actually play bots, I play them pretty frequently because I like to help out my lower level friends get better at the game. However, sometimes I get bug splat because my computer is a potato and disconnect from the game. In my head I thinking this: "Oh well, its just bots. They wont hate me for not reconnecting." However and hour later I get put in the low priority queues for five games. I have not left a single game other than that one for about a week or two. Can we please not have punishments in the Co-op vs AI matches in the game, or at least make them much less severe.

Part of the issue with handling leaves differently per queue is that newer players generally pass through Co-Op vs AI at some point. Leaving in a Co-Op vs AI game might not feel as bad, but if new players see people leaving and associate that thought with it being OK to do in fully matchmade games, it can end up being a worse experience for everyone involved.

Besides, leaves are just as annoying in Co-Op vs AI as they are in normal games. Hell, even custom games are frustrating when someone leaves because you've taken the time to set that game up and someone decided it wasn't worth their time to stick around.

Overall, I get it; it can be really frustrating for your computer to be causing these problems for you, but the simple fact is that people don't like others leaving their games.

As someone who plays bots when I need my daily and I don't have the time or energy for serious play, I can tell you that a leaver is just as frustrating in a bot game as any other format, but it's a different kind of frustrating.

Regardless if it's just bots you're playing against, you're still playing with 4 other real people and as such leaving, afking or otherwise doing stuff players would hate in normal or ranked is unacceptable here as well. If you're constantly getting bug-splatted then I would suggest checking everything on your end to make sure that everything's up to date.
