Leveling to Honour 2

So I misbehave exactly twice, and I get a chat restriction. I often get many honours, and previously, I had never been hit by a penalty. In the FAQ for honour, we see this:

What's the deal with level 1 and 0?

If you fall below level 2, you were hit with a penalty or two, and the first step is to put in clean games to unlock your Honor level. Once you do, your games help you climb back to better rewards, just like how it’s worked since Loot launched.

How long do I realistically have to put in "clean games" (which I do nearly every time I play) to unlock this honour lock? Is there any way I can see my progress?

The honor process in general is a bit of a joke. It takes 4-6 months to get from 0 to 1. Just because you get a 10 game chat restriction , doesn't mean you should have to put that much time into recovering. Just my opinion. But riot could care less about anything you earned prior

Untrue, it took me exactly 30 days to get out of my locked honor level 1 and into honor level 2.

I don't know if it's different for other people or for people with honor level 0, but that's how long it took me to get back to honor level 2.

Yea takes way longer if you are at 0

They supposedly made the Honor easier to regain a few weeks ago. However, it is still dependent on your behavior. Negative behavior can slow your progress, even if you aren't hitting the punishment threshold.
