Roles in Normal games

So i'm queueing up for League on my new account, and since i'm not lvl 30 and i don't own enough champs, the only mode as PVP i can play is Normals. As i arrive in champ select some of the players call out the role they want to play, i call top and 2 of my teammates call bot and jungle. The 4th guy then calls mid and everything seems to be all right. Then my 5th teammate suddenly halfway through champ select spam-calls toplane. We tell him that the role is already taken by me, who've locked in Darius, and he should pick support, hence it's the only open role. He says he is top, locks in Rengar, and we proceed in-game where i am then either forced to play with a huge idiot as 2 toplaners, and leave my ADC to lane alone in bot, OR i can go support, even though i was the first one to call my role What am i supposed to do? And how are roles put out in Normal games?

EDIT: Im new to using boards, so i don't know if Player Behaviour is the exactly right place to post this, my apologies! :)

There are no rules against going anywhere you want in blind pick, since there is no role selection. If people want to get their role (and be the only one in it), they need to play draft pick.

I ended up playing Darius support, and we somehow won the game. But personally, i didn't have a good time, since i'm not allowed to f.x. CS and i am playing against (In this case) Kai'sa and Lux, which means i can basically do nothing, except pray for them to make mistakes. And i can't play draft pick, i'm not high enough level and i don't have enough champions ;)

And why didn't i just go cleanse ghost and try to kill their jungler? Because that isn't how you play the game. Call me a meta slave, but i prefer playing the game the regular way, 1 top, 1 jg, 1 mid, and an ADC and support in the botlane. Who you pick in those roles, i don't honestly care about. You can do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't effect my game. If you want to play with 5 man toplane, you go do that, but please, for god's sake, do it with 4 premades, that actually agree with your idea, so you won't ruin the experience of the game for others.

It's blind pick. Role calling is not a rule, just a courtesy. You said you are not lvl 30, which means the other guy likely to not be lvl 30 with a lot or champ on his roster either. He could be a new player who only knows top.

Blind pick is anything goes, especially at low levels.

I'm not 100% sure, but i believe in the free-to-play rotations, there are at least 1 champion from each role, which means that they have a champion available.

champion available is not the same as champion you can play especially when talking about new players

So your telling me i can do whatever the fuck i want, and pretty much "ruin" the experience of playing the game for 4 other teammates? Sure as hell doesn't seem right to me.

There are no assigned roles or lanes in Blind Pick. You always have the option to dodge that game if you are not comfortable playing 2 tops. Your "experience" does not trump his either.

So i should rather troll the living shit out of my team, and do whatever i want as long as i don't intentionally feed? Because in my eyes that is pretty much just ruining the game for my 4 teammates.

If others don't like blind pick, they're free to not play it. It is woefully easy to have the 20 required champs for draft pick, at which time you can be guaranteed one of your preferred roles.

Grind bots for 20 champs. Really you probably will only need like 6 or 7 tp play draft because normal draft requires 20 availible champs and 14 champs are free to play each week.
