I say kys as a joke because the other person used a tik tok cringe meme and it was meant as a joke. The other person clearly acknowledged this as a joke as well but Riot just doesn't seem to care and just bans me anyways. Unban me now because this is a huge misunderstanding or you ban every single person who made a joke in allchat. Seriously what are you guys doing? Are you going to start banning people who make jokes in allchat with no context? Wtf is wrong with you people? Please riot take this 14 day ban off and ill stop having fun in chat. Thanks.

Unban me now because this is a huge misunderstanding or you ban every single person who made a joke in allchat.

In the case of this specific joke (or jokes involving hate speech), the latter. Telling another player to kill themselves is not something Riot considers appropriate in any context, "joke" or not. Asking someone else to end their own life has no place in League, period.

I did read your post. I am also simply being straightforward with you: my own opinion doesn't factor into this anywhere. Riot has said that this behavior is not accepted nor tolerated under any circumstance, and that all instances of it earn a 14-day ban. I'm simply the messenger here.

I understand that but I feel this is a huge misunderstanding and that I meant no harm in any of my chats that game. It doesn't matter since I will send a ticket but this is very frustrating.

You are more than welcome to send in a ticket, but I can guarantee you that Riot will not overturn this punishment. They have a very strict policy on this behavior.

Good jokes, smart puns, and even dark humors are always appreciated. Telling someone to do something with Thier life is quite distastful. So if those are the only jokes you have perhaps limit it to those you are sure won't offend.

i generally dont response to posts like these because the people who post the suicide jokes think their funny and it doesn't ever affect anybody. and continue their toxic chats. so, let me explain something to you. suicide is never something to joke about. those jokes, trigger persons who HAVE experienced the LOSS of a loved one through suicide. how do i know? because i am one of those people. i lost my brother to suicide. your "jokes" are NEVER EVER funny. and they are also damaging to persons who are already depressed and try to play this game for fun,and have suicidal thoughts. you suicide trolls only think of yourselves. selfish. mean. rude. careless. you deserve the ban.

Uh, no it can't.

You can't scream FIRE in a crowded building then call it "a joke" as people get trampled while running for the doors. You can't walk up to a black person and use the N word and say "it was just a joke". You can't kidnap and threaten to kill someone and claim "it was just a joke". You can't make up lies about someone to ruin their career and claim "it was just a joke".

None of these things are "jokes" whether you personally find it funny or not, sorry.

If you truly want to joke around like that then do it in a full premade of like minded people or in private chat. Like it or not the vast majority of people (Riot and myself included) do not find self-harm wishes funny, and trying to pass it off as such is both foolish and insensitive. The ban will not be overturned, so I would suggest you grow up and not try to pass off things like kys as just kidding in the future, as that is not a catch all excuse.

The proof is that it got reported often enough to make the ZT word list. Riot used data from player reports to inform their system, afterall.

You told someone to kill themselves, three times. Encouragements of self-harm are on Riot's zero-tolerance list, and net a 14-day ban on the first verified offense.

It doesn't matter if it was a "joke", it doesn't matter if whoever you told to kill themselves brushed it off, it doesn't matter what you can come up with to excuse you saying it. It's strictly against the rules, and someone reported you for it, so clearly, not everyone in that match was fine with it.

Beyond that, you've spent a fair amount of time in this thread insulting and attacking pretty much everyone who speaks against the prospect of you getting unbanned, throwing hate speech and other such insults like candy.

On top of both counts of egregious behavior, and the ludicrous gall it takes to straight-up demand that you be unbanned, there is zero reason whatsoever Riot will have to unban you.

You broke the rules, you get to suffer the punishment for it. Don't count on that ticket, 'cause I already know your demand/request for an unban will be turned down.

Thank you. I feel the same way. People just don't get it do they. As a joke I proceeded to say 'KYS'. This guy in the enemy team, after losing the game due to an amazing comeback, then reported me in order to piss me off and I didn't report him back because i'm not that kind of guy who does that. I did get the 14 day ban after all and this guy got the revenge he most desired. This is downright stupid and idiotic. People joke about 911, suicide bombers, and get away with it. I joke about suicide, which i'm sorry its a pressing issue nowadays, but it was a stupid joke. I'm not a murderer or a sadist and want nothing but peace in the world. This has all been an over-exaggeration. You do realize League of Legends is considered to be the must rage inducing video game because of people like him. People feed, grief, and int on purpose, those are the people who deserve a ban, not individuals like Julian Caesar, myself and every other player in this game who just wants to have fun.

This post is basically a year old.

People make those jokes with people they know or in front of a live audiwnce at a comedy show. This is neither, it is a game. Telling someone to kill themself over a game is not warranted. You want ro use "just want to have fun" as a defense for being toxic? Well, that feeder (intentional or not) is just trying to have fun. That griefer goinf AP Zed is just tryinf ro have fun. You aee how ahit that defense is?
