Mistakenly Perm Banned?

CondesendingCat4··1 votes·532 views

I recently got Perm Banned and honestly don't think is should've been permanent. I have had 1 chat restriction and 1 ban in the past, then the 3rd punishment was a permanent ban. I have heard that you are SUPPOSED to receive 4 warnings before a permanent ban. So i'm confused as to why I got a permanent ban. Can a moderator or someone try and help me?

_I have also spent over 200 dollars on this game and it makes me very angry that it has all just gone down the drain in a matter of 1 and 1/2 - 2 years. _

the punishments goes like this 10 game chat restriction 25 game chat restriction 14 day ban Perm ban

You also need to know depending on the severity of your action you it is possible to skip Tiers.

I had the 10 game restriction but never the 25 game restriction and I don't think that my case was so severe that it would've skipped a tier because in the past I have reported players for doing stuff WAY worse than what I did but never even got a message saying "Due to recent reports a player you have reported has been penalized". Either way if it wasn't a mistake is there anything I can do about the 200+ USD that I lost??

You mentioned one ban in the past, what type of ban and when?

14 Day ban

I assume that this was after the chat restriction.

Sounds like your path went;

10-game restriction issued 14-game ban issued (skipped 25 game restriction because the behavior was extremely poor). perma-ban

After the 14-day ban you are on the last chance and on thin ice. It doesn't take a escalated punishment to get a perma-ban at that point. Any behavioral punishment issued then is likely to be a perma-ban until you prove to the system that you've turned your behavior around.

The only thing you can do is to contact Player Support via a Support ticket to go over why you got banned.

And for your second question when you started playing this game and every update after it had you agree to terms of use, in the terms of use it states:

If your account is terminated, you’ll no longer have access to it, including any of the associated data or content (e.g., champions, skins, Riot Points, etc.). You’ll not be entitled to any refunds and we’ll have no liability to you. We also reserve the right to terminate any other accounts you may have created, as well as your access to any other Riot Services (also without any refunds or liability to you).

Hate speech (homophobic/racist slurs) and telling people to kill themselves will get you a 14 day ban.

There is nothing to be done about the money, you already agreed that you wouldn't have access to it once banned.

if you were extremely toxic (mostly triggering zero-tolerance word), you can skip from 10 chat restriction to 14-day ban. From 14-day ban, it doesnt take much to go perma banned. In order to have a meaningful discussion, you will need to post your unedited, complete, and all game chat logs.

p.s. - even in normal condition, you only have THREE warnings: 10 cr, 25 cr, 14-day ban, not FOUR. I dont think perma counts as a warning.

Ok, I understand what I did to skip the 25 game restriction and I am fine with that. I still however need to know if there is anything I can do about the 200 dollars.

Save doing a chargeback and risking legal bullshit no your money is gone.

''I still however need to know if there is anything I can do about the 200 dollars.'' What do you mean with that? Sorry to tell you but your money is gone

There is nothing you can do, no. That money was spent with the express agreement (as per the terms of use you need to accept to purchase anything) that it is not refundable in the even that you lose access to Riot's services. Like all other in-app or in-game purchases, you are purchasing a revoke-able right to use that content on Riot's servers, and a banned account does not entitle you to any compensation.

Post the chat logs, that's the only way anyone here will be able to tell you if it was or wasn't correct. Or send a support ticket if you believe otherwise.

CondesendingCat41 votes

I don't believe I have access to the old chat logs anymore, if there is a way of retrieving them please let me know.

When you are banned there should be a chat log that appears when you try to log in. Or you should have also gotten an email about it. If there isn't then you should contact support. https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us

You can skip to 14 day bans if you're extremely toxic. By extremely, I mean slurs and telling people to harm themselves in some way.

Me too. I've been mistakenly banned about 30 times already. The only thing that makes me sad is that you wasted 200 dollars on a game that gives nine-year-olds the power to ban your account just for being better than them. Next time don't spend a penny.
