Reporting

I had a game just now where a teammate of mine was disconnecting. I said in chat, "Fizz better f'ing reconnect." This got the Blitz on my team to say, "Stop blaming him." and continue on kind of antagonizing me. I said to him that I don't want to have to deal with him so I'm muting him. He replied, "LOL." and that was the last thing I read before I muted him. I assume he went on about it because the other team began to type in all chat, "Sorry about toxic Lee." (I was playing Lee Sin.) I figured he convinced them that I was being toxic and deserved to be reported because after the game, the players on the enemy team said I was reported. I don't really understand how the report system is supposed to work without investigating every game. Players like this make it really awful to just play the game. It was my first game after a while where I didn't have time to play and I was really looking forward to it. Afterwards, though I wanted to continue playing before, now I am just looking forward to forgetting about the annoyance and discouragement to play, and I want to not play for a while again. One game back and I'm already done. I would have had a great time without this, so maybe it's my fault because I used to mute everyone in game to prevent things like this, but chat is something I don't want to restrict myself from just because sometimes, people want to ruin your game. I don't know, please give your opinion if you have one, I just needed to vent a little after such a frustrating situation.
