Harsh and sudden permanent ban for a returning player

I recently returned to playing LoL at the end of season 5 and for season 6. I cannot recall a convincing record of negative behavior on my account.

I last played a match where a teammate initiated toxic behavior, followed it by intentionally feeding, and continued flaming/surrender-spamming for the rest of the game. These games are always to hard to remain calm for the entire team. I uploaded my side of the game chat log. I have requested the full game log from Riot through Support Requests.

Excessively rude and negative behavior as far as I've understood generally contains more offensive words than childlike ones of "nerd" and "doofus." I've been led to believe excessive cursing, racism, homophobia; i.e. use of words like F*** or N*****, were less joking and more angry and mean.

I'm curious where and what the tipping point is in this chat log, which would be nicer to see full chat log since I wasn't talking to myself. Riot claims to encourage reform but have acted quite sudden with a permanent ban and I feel in the dark about exactly which part of my behavior is not welcomed.

EDIT1: There's a clear niche community here and the same silly immature behavior as in game. I talked to some people who had things to say, others didn't.

This community was once a lot more acceptable and reasonable. It is now far too sensitive and ironically points blame in the wrong direction and believes it can solve a problem it doesn't understand using naive methods that don't work.

Do you know why they only show your side of the chat log? Because it doesn't matter what anyone else did. You are responsible for your own actions, regardless of circumstance. You were toxic, got reported, and got punished. It's as simple as that.

and what would you do if they did?

  1. SEE IT'S THEIR FAULT!! I WAS JUST DEFENDING MYSELF!!

  2. THEY STARTED IT!!

  3. I WANT THEM BANNED INSTEAD!!

  4. some other comment?

EDIT; 5) all of the above

There are only two reasons you would want chat logs. First to claim 'I didn't deserve this!' and secondly to figure out exactly how big of an ass you can be before you are punished.

It's simple, don't be negative, don't be passive aggressive, don't point fingers period. Your defense of 'hey, I'm not as big of a jerk as those other people' proves you think your callous and long-standing poor treatment of other players is acceptable.

Well, it is not and you are not welcome in the League of Legends community.

I'll admit the titanic joke was pretty funny though.

I think you can get more of the logs, this is just the last straw in your ban. This didn't look too bad but other reports might have been much worse than this. It sucks and is annoying as hell to deal with some people, but you are responsible for what you say and your own actions, despite what others do. Self control is a thing, and so is the mute button. Not saying I don't get pissed when someone is trolling our team or feeding, I just don't verbalize it in chat (much).

To everyone who thinks they should only show your chat logs.

Why was the full game log, EVERYONES scores/builds. EVERYTHING in the tribunal? (hell even the players that reported are listed there, Or it was a number can't remember)

I'll tell you... It was to get context. many things look bad without context. (I mean seriously who doesn't know this?)

http://joel.is/why-context-is-so-important/

If someone sits their a says something like "You're a F****** G** A** N***** F****** NOOB" (lulz at * being used for bold) Or walks into the other team 1v5 and i say "Moron" or "Idiot" in response to this i Garentee i would not have been punished in the old tribunal, In fact many MANY times i'v laughed at the fools who think that after their racial slurs and homophobic remarks think they can get other people banned.

Sadly however it's now all automated.

i could sit here and show examples of why context should be used all day, But in the end only a few will understand the why.

i dont get why ppl want "full chat logs" all the time. so your other mate called you a 'insert insult here' and you flamed back and now? so because he broke the rules this allows you to break them aswell and get away with it? uhm hello kindergarten did you lose one of your kids? i think they are ruining my chat experience right now in a game of League.
