My Friend's Rewards Disappeared? 2.0

Hello,

After re-reading, I realized I probably posted this in the wrong forum, so I'm reposting it here (deleted the other):

My friend received a gold border after hitting Gold this season (S5). He said his border disappeared today. He also said the Sivir skin was unavailable. I searched and couldn't find any related threads. I know rewards are going out in waves (and seemed to have early, since I read they weren't going out until Nov 18) - But it's peculiar that he would get his border, but not the Sivir skin, then have his border disappear.

I know he's been temp banned/suspended from ranked before. I also know that people don't receive their rewards if they've been banned after August 9th (my birthday :3) - So, did it disappear because he was suspended before, or just a weird bug he should ask Riot about?

The system shouldn't have given him his rewards in the first place if he was ineligible. People banned for MMR boosting also lose their prior rewards, but I'm pretty sure he'd have told you that he got banned. What's his summoner name? If he's missing things on his account he can submit a Support Ticket and they'll help him out or at least explain why he lost them if they were taken away. He doesn't have an active chat restriction either does he?

Your friend can write in to support to get more information as I won't be able to elaborate on their specific situation here, but the only cases where a player would be ineligible for rewards would be:

Were currently suspended at any point 3 months prior to end of season due to behaviour (for a 2 week suspension, this would mean bans starting on the tail end of July)
Were chat restricted at season's end
Were boosted or used some other exploit to gain an unfair advantage in (or out of) ranked at any point during the 2015 season

The rolling out of rewards would replace previous borders, so for NA it's likely players saw their old border right up until the point we replaced them with the 2015 border.

Best idea is to open a support ticket, Google riot games support and he can file one there.

If he was banned then that seems like the most likely cause to me.

That's what I figured, he wouldn't receive his rewards at all if he was suspended after Aug 9
