Flawed Punishment System

I received a chat restriction a while back and took it in stride and decided not to deal with the negativity from other players as best as I could. I was able to reform my behaviour to such a point that I had started receiving hextech loot and keys from games again, which I understood was a priviledge only returned when a player was deemed reformed.

I've recently dealt with a fair number of trolls in games recently and have more or less muted entire teams and kept all chat off regularly to avoid dealing with the negativity from other players. However, even with my best efforts I have had bad games and may have lashed out unfairly, but I haven't resorted to toxic extremely toxic behaviour or language as I have experienced from other players.

Jump ahead to now, I have been given a 14 day suspension, with 3 game examples showing my supposed negative behaviour. 2 of the games are both highly unreasonable as examples; the first having a player who trolled our entire team and made all the other players rather upset; the second example having premade pairs who witch hunted me from the start because I wasn't as highly ranked as the rest of them, I muted the entire team and ignored them. The one game which shows my negativity was both a bad game and a bad day for me in general. I was matched with a 4 man premade who scapegoated me, and were equally rude.

Meanwhile, in a game the other day, the enemy team took trash talking too far, going so far as to say "We Orlandoed you homos" after they beat our team. Insofar as to assume, these players are still playing and continuing to make such profane comments.

I feel that the reporting system and punishments doled out is unfair to many players, while completely ignoring many players who actually deserve these punishments. Additionally, I find it unfair for a solo queue player to get matched up with premade teams who can try and make the experience for the odd man out as unbearable as possible and then proceed to report the player because they outnumber him.

It has gotten to a point where the only way to avoid negativity is to completely mute all other players in games and say absolutely nothing, which in turn can lead to its own punishments for lack of communication while also being unable to defend yourself if your team decides to convince the enemy team you're some sort of troll.

I will take my punishment and reform again, doing whatever it takes to push out the negativity that many players put out. I don't expect anyone in Riot to respond or even take note of what I've said, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's experienced the unfairness of this system and hope for some sort of proper change to a flawed system.

First of, copy and past the 3 exemples that shows when after you connect into your account from the Login Screen.

Second of, You can't be punished for not communicating with your team, Riot as removed that kind of punishment, because it was doing way to much trouble for no reasons.

Third of: Sur the system has its own issue, but, the system does not punish players who ignored other players. So that means, you went negative and you didn't avoid contact with the real trolls. Sur, if someone like me see this kind of trolls, I report them without even giving a single signs of my own existence.

Another thing, if you said 14 days of punishment, it is because you already had several Chat restriction before. If you want to know all the step, I can tell you.

First step of the permanent ban: A Warning message only!

Second Step of the permanent ban: 12 games of Chat restrictions or maybe less, I don't remember.

Third Step of the permanent ban: 24 games of Chat restrictions or maybe more or less, I still don't remember. x)

Fourth step of the permanent ban: 14 days of suspension.

Fifth step of the permanent ban: Permanently ban ( Permanent suspension of your account )

This mean, you already got the warning message, th 12 games of chat restriction and also the 24 games of chat restrictions. And now, you are in suspension for 14 days. 2 weeks in other term.

Eh boy, you are not that much Sport-Man-Like as I can see. I think you forgot to mention some of your negative actions boy. I understand your feeling right now, but you only understand when you are tired of all this. You are at one step before getting a permanent suspension. Listen up, your account is doomed with toxic players Mmr. There is nothing you can do now. Maybe you can try to just shut your mouth and play in the right way. Focus on the game, quit focusing on the other players. This is both a solo game and a Team game. The only one you can't mute is your support. Your support is one of the most important player when you try to carry, he or she is the only who is always in the good way of saying the truth.

On my side, I am improving my Sport-Man-Like style and it has great result. My only problem is, I afk too much. I mean, there's a lot of storm where I live if you know what I mean. I can't do a single shit about it. In the past, I was just like you right now. I have learned. I still can't find a way on how to avoid disconnection. I'm about to buy a new tool for my pc. A brand new Internet Adapter that cost 15$ on Amazon.ca. So, learn your mistakes and improves yourself.

The reporting system is highly unfair, giving an advantage for pre-made teams. I have been reported for saying two sentences in a game before. I was matched with a 4 man pre-made and said:

" Come gank my lane, they are all over here." " Can we ping when your lane is missing."

And instantly had all 4 of them say they were gonna report me. Of course, this isn't something that can be reported as I did nothing wrong.. but they were still allowed to do it. Their is no repercussion for pre-mades to spam reports, none. Crazy.

You admit to being rude to the 4 man team which mutes your first point of "but I haven't resorted to toxic behavior."

You can't say you haven't been extremely toxic so it's okay, no being toxic in any kind of way is a huge problem, I had a game where our adc had a support that didn't really know what he was doing (it was a bot game so it wasn't too big of a deal) but instead of just asking the support to go down bot with him he screamed at the support and cussed at him, I told him there was no need to be rude about it he simply states "yes the f** is so stfu" I muted him and was done with it. I could have gone back and forth with him or even let him get the better of me and react negatively towards him but what does that achieve? Nothing other than risk getting reported myself.

If people are being negative around you, it's rather simple to deal with. JUST IGNORE THEM! You don't need to mute them (though if you feel more comfortable doing this g for it) you don't need to respond just ignore them don't pay them any attention what so ever, if they can't get a rise from you then you have no issue.

Though the fact that you're on a 14 day suspension tells us you aren't as innocent as you are trying to make out and playing league whilst having a bad day/being in a rough mood is a stupid idea in the first place. Your mood will carry over into the game, make your game worse and in turn make the experience horrid for not only you but your team and the opponent.

I can take to heart the suggestions being said and am in no way saying I'm a saint, but in reality, many people have a bad day or a bad game and may fall off the wagon so to speak. I was punished previously, and changed the way I acted and was eventually deemed 'reformed' to be able to start receiving hextech loot again, I took that as a sign to continue with the proper behaviour.

That being said, I'm sure everyone at some point is going to run into a troll or a player(s) who will go out of their way to ruin your enjoyment of the game. In which case there's the chance you may want to lash out, which I am not saying is right. Though if a player has been 'reformed' or been punished before and had a decent period after the fact in which they have committed no further offenses, is it fair to bring the hammer down on them fully when they have showed signs of change?

I would copy and paste the chat logs used as examples, but it only shows what the offending player (me) has said and leaves out all messages made by teammates and opponents, which used to be listed in Tribunal cases, and makes it very one-sided to the accused player.

My first game: yes I was a righteous so-and-so, I shouldn't have reacted the way I did, but what's left out in the example text is the equal harassment from teammates

2nd game: Had a teammate troll us from the very beginning - short of it - he autolocked as Braum with smite, was asked what role he was, no response. Teammates went ahead and filled other roles, last second he switched to exhaust and didn't warn us. Game starts, chaos ensues, other teammates blasted him and the supposed troll played dumb. I explained why what he did came off as trollish even though he refused to believe he did anything remotely troll-like.

3rd game: I muted the players harassing me immediately and told them to stop. The other possible thing the system may have singled out was when I complimented an opposing player, who joked and said he "sucked dicks," and I tried to, jokingly, respond how I know all to well, and made a self-deprecating joke about my sexuality - I was in no way making a slur or insult towards sexual orientation it was a joke at my own 'flaming' expense

I'm in no way condoning my actions for when I have slipped and lost my cool. Yes I have stooped to the level of those kinds of people and regret it. However, I am constantly trying to stay above them and be the better person, I enjoy playing this game and I don't want to turn into those kinds of people who give the community as a whole a bad name.

But, it is still unfair, that after being deemed reformed after a good period of proper behaviour that I be immediately deemed some horribly toxic player in need of serious punishment when I make a slip. And again, I am positive I'm not the only person who has experienced this system failing us.

As I said in the beginning, I've experienced many toxic players who've said things that make my jaw drop to my keyboard, but recently it has been many high ranking players and it surprises me that they've managed to make it all the way to platinum and higher while saying those sorts of things and get away with it. And again, I'm positive I'm not the only player who has experienced appalling behaviour from other players and wondered why they haven't been as severely punished.
