Are the punishments being given actually justified??

This is a serious question and I only ask that you give a completely honest answer. Do you think that the chat logs provided constitute a 25 game chat restriction. Seeing this really put my doubts on the Riot staff's ability or lack there of to make just decisions when it comes to delivering punishments and reviewing reports.

In my time reading the boards I have seen exactly two cases where, once all evidence was on the table, the punishment was unjust. In both cases the punishment was removed immediately.

You're being negative in chat, which lowers team morale and reduces the chances of your team winning, so you're opening yourself up to a minor punishment. Riot uses a punishment tier system, instead of punishing based on severity, so repeated minor offenses will lead to harsher and harsher punishments, even going up to the permaban level.

Riot isn't kind with their punishments or punishment system, but they are just. We all agreed to follow their rules after all.

I don't know if they are doing a major sweep of punishments or if their tolerance has changed but this does not look bannable to me and I have seen sooooo much fucking worse in so many games where no one that I reported was punished. I was restricted yesterday for some stupid shit too. literally just trying to defend myself while being flamed and I get restricted while the two players flaming me do not.

I don't believe they are with a few exceptions. There is a high focus on racism, sexism, and the "KYS" ban for players that abuse chat and I think there are filters in the reports that single these out as most players have made this a high focus of being an issue. As for the rest of reports I believe they are based on majority votes or reports and game data such as a player was dying a lot so teammates look to blame them for the game overall which everyone knows is not the case, but do it anyway and majority reports them for feeding. Given the game data say they were 2/12/6, they get punished for it regardless if they were just having a bad game or filled into a position they don't know how to play well. Same thing goes for the time bans on dodges, between now and last season dodges have become much more frequent because of trolls. Already tilted players Q'ing up just to flame and screw over the next team, players who enjoy ruining ranked games for others, etc. Then comes the low Q penalty from having to dodge too many games in hopes of saving LP, based on game data, players have can't even play due to time restraint even if they've done nothing wrong in a sense. This system has a lot of issues right now & are making this game unpleasant to many players. In the same respect, players are making it this way by causing issues, dramatizing them, and not offering solutions. Just pointing the finger and waiting on Riot to fix it. I still have hope for this game, I love LoL and have invested a lot into it.

The problem is that you typed words in the chat box. As soon as you open your mouth, you are guilty, according to this witch-hunt system.

What you should have done instead is farm, farm, farm, and when you see a team fight, just run the other way and let your allies die. Don't say a word. Ever.

The worse I get nowadays in games 95/100 there might be 5 games where someone afk's, someone trolls, someone says "EZ" after the game. No where near how bad it was years ago, pretty sure what they are doing has weeded out a lot of people. Or at least has kept them quiet during my games so I can enjoy the matches without people pinging insanely, being rude to other players, etc.
