Hi, I recently played a game of URF that I did not automatically connect to. However after i relogged into the client, I loaded into the game at about 7-10 minutes in. I then played the rest of the game and ended with a win. But when I was directed to the results page I saw that I was punished for leaving the game even though I played it. I was unjustly punished and received 5 games in lower priority queue. Not really sure why I was punished and would like it if someone could shed some light on the situation. Here is a gyazo of the client with the message and the completed game in the background: https://gyazo.com/540692801e8d33c5d823645cc57c58d2

You were out of the game long enough for the leaverbuster system to recognize your absence. There is a grace period to allow players to get back in without a penalty, you simply exceeded that allowance.

Regardless of the fact that you reconnected and won, your absence could still have been very detrimental to your team. In order to discourage this behaviour leaverbuster issues time penalties to remind players that it is important to participate in the game from start to finish.

And finally, riot understands that sometimes things are out of our control. Such as an emergency, power outage, ect. That is why the system will not automatically punish a player. If a player is frequently AFK'ing the system will recognize the pattern of behaviour and issue a punishment.
