Is refusing to communicate at champion select reportable?

Just curious.

I mean, I just had a match with an obvious premade (all had the same team name) making up three of five of the players. I called top, the other "random" called mid, the premade group refused to communicate in champion select at all.

Come start of game, one of the premade group ran top with me. I was unable to cs whatsoever, since I was on a smurf account that could not kill the minions before the other player could. I spent the entire game feeling like I was completely unable to contribute. It was simply not fun at all.

Look, I don't take issue with folk trying something out of meta. What bothers me is that there was no communication here whatsoever. I wasn't able to plan for the situation. I wasn't even able to dodge should I've decided that hey, you know, support Quinn is not really my cup of tea.

Is this sort of thing reportable? Unsportsmanlike conduct, maybe? Or is it just one of those jerky things you nevertheless have to deal with?

A good rule of thumb to use is, have my actions caused another player to feel bad or become frustrated. If the answer is yes, then yes you can be reported and punished.

A better question would be "Is it punishable?" The majority of the time, I would say no.

I guess so. "Refusing to Communicate" was an option for reports in the previous when the reasons you selected were far more explicit.

However, I'm pretty certain this is.

An opinion:

When you go solo, teamwork shouldn't be obligatory. It's just 5 random people who happen to be on the same side. If there's teamwork, fine, but it's not something you should expect in that particular queue.

I play the game because i like it, it's fun. But i don't like some of the players, they're annoying. Why should i stress myself and play nice with people i don't know or like when i can just ignore them? Teamwork? To win? Screw that. I'm here to play a game i enjoy that happens to need other people to play alongside.

That's solo queue and that's what you should expect as a solo player. We're not friends, buddies, pals or even acquaintances, We have to play on the same team, but we don't have to be team players.

Again, it's just an opinion.

anything is reportable. If the whole team reports against you for the same thing, that's all that matters to the system.
