Dodging Trolls

So as a relatively new player in low elo, I encounter many players trolling from the start of champion select. I used to try and go the entire 30+ minute game with these individuals on my teams, however in ranked it's incredibly frustrating and I find myself dodging if this occurs. However, upon dodging this queue I am still punished, with no repercussion to the player I was basically forced to dodge from. With no report function in the champion select lobby, I am either forced to spend a game with one (or several) trolls, or dodge and be unable to queue up for several minutes. As a new player this is not only a huge turn-off for me to continue to put most of my time into League, but it has also deterred me from continuing my Ranked career for some time. Either way I lose LP because of this/these players. I understand Riot has to punish dodgers, but I think this should somehow be made into an exception.

The thing is you took the wrong approach. When a kid steals from a shop the right approach is report to security/police, get him/his guardian to compensate, and educate him so he'd never do it again. You don't hack a news channel to broadcast it to the entire world and post this on every forum + facebook just so this kid is socially devastated for life.

I know these 2 cases are nothing alike, but I hope you get my point that just because ppl are breaking rules doesn't mean you're then allowed to break rules however you deem fit. It is indeed frustrating but that's the kind of ppl you'll run into at lower divisions since trolls are going to lose games and end up at bottom of the pit. My advice is temporarily find ppl either in-game or on forum that aren't going to troll to team up for a short while until you're out of bronze then solo queue. ... oh who am I kidding there's trolls all the way up to diamond.
