Chat restriction, suspensions and bans

Hey guys, so i got a few questions about my ban and i was wondering if any of u guys have any opinions on this topic. Ok, so basically i got this notification when i logged into my account and it said i was suspended for 2 weeks, however it did not give me any reason or justification as to why this ban was placed on my account. Although I am aware that i flame hard and i am toxic (as my friends tell me that most of the time)... However, when i decided to research about the ban placed on my account and the reason to why it was placed I came across this board on the NA League of Legends website (the forum was created about a year ago) this board was regarding the ban system, and according to NeuroCat, which is one of the Riot staff in NA said that "Punishments will rapidly escalate for those who don’t reform. Here’s how it works: First offense: 10 game chat restriction Second offense: 25 game chat restriction Third offense: 2 week ban Fourth offense: Permanent ban"

I have never received any sort of chat restriction of any kind which meant that Riot has skipped the first and second offence and has immediately gave me a 2 week ban for what i assume is toxicity. Because of this i scrambled around some more on the NA League of Legends Board and i found that the last time this has occurred was when these restrictions were being handed out which was approximately around 2 years ago back in Season 4, i thought this was really weird and i was wondering why I did not get the chat restriction first but was given a 2 week ban. Furthermore, a friend of mine received a 10 game chat restriction because of toxicity but did not get a 2 week ban, but then why did i not get a 10 game chat restriction when i got my 2 week ban.

(Edit: Oh after looking around in the support page it says that: "However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game."

My friend that was given a 10 game chat restriction received a message when he logged in which gave him evidence of his toxicity during games by showing him his chat logs, I was wondering why it did not show me this when i checked my email from Riot regarding my ban. Which was given to me as follows:

"Actions that have been performed on your account are in violation of the League of Legends Terms of Use. You can review these terms at http://www.leagueoflegends.com/legal/termsofuse

Due to the severity of this violation, your League of Legends account has been banned until Fri Dec 09 03:56:07 UTC 2016

-Riot has not specified as to why i was given a two week ban -Riot has not given any evidence to why i was banned

Firstly, i could have been banned due to my inappropriate summoner name but i also could have been banned for being toxic in games, or i could have been banned for both hence the skipping of the other bans and straight to the 2 week one.

Secondly, Riot has not given me any evidence to why I was banned. I searched online and ended up on YouTube where i came across this video by Lucas Travis ( in the video which was uploaded 3 years ago he reviewed the email given to him by Riot and it gave evidence, reasoning and justification as to why he was banned. As seen above my ban was not justified (not saying i shouldnt have gotten one).

If my inappropriate name was a factor to my banning, when this ban is over am i given an opportunity to change my name from Riot??? not sure about this one.

I have gathered that Riot looks at the reports given by the League of Legends community and take much care of the game, however this may have been an issue that has caused by 2 week ban. Recently i have been queuing with a few of my friends, and during champ select i would call my lane as you do and if i got my lane i would play it, if i didnt i would try to negotiate or pick another lane (I never insta-lock, and never have done any griefing or feeding). However my friends figured that they could make me 'tilted' by typing in all chat after joining the game that i instalocked and talked a lot of sh*t in champ select and team chat (which is a false accusation) they would then follow by typing in all chat to report me for being a disrespectful member of the LOL community. (My friends have at least done this 5-10 times) Because of this i may have been excessively reported by my teammates, friends and the opposition team for griefing and giving other players a bad experience. This leads me to question: "Did i get banned because i was reported to much" this question can only be answered by an OCE Riot employee that can access the report records of me and the chat logs.

If you use any words that are considered hate speech (homophobia/racism/sexism/slurs/etc.) it's very possible to skip chat restrictions. Did you email Rito's support about why you may have gotten banned?

If you were ban for being toxic then they would have giving you chatlogs. If it was for your summoner name then they would have given you that reason as well as changing your summoner name to a generic one so you can change it.

Usually with cases like this from not having any type of other punishments going straight to a 2-weekban usually is from trolling/Intentionally feeding. I mean it would be kinda hard to prove to someone they were trolling/feeding unless there was like video evidence because if all thy showed was the games in question you would just say that you weren't trolling/feeding.

It's obviously a difficult thing to do and they are at least nice enough to even show you something because to be fair basically any other type of service like this would just ban you and leave you out!

Now I haven't checked your match history yet but that is usually the case for people who jump straight to a 2-week ban without any type of other punishment or toxic behavior!
