I am not kidding that I do think this is okay. The fact that you have a halo somewhere around your house doesn't defeat my commitment to the idea that any kind of punishment over this is ridiculous. One more thing the "blame" happening is out of context. I had just been "blamed" for something and replied in kind.

I can't wear a Pope hat, being Jewish and all that. I suppose I could just put one on, but I would just look silly.

That aside, I was fortunate to have a high school football coach who touted "playing cold". He always said that people who can be manipulated usually lose, which has turned out to be true. I don't respond because it doesn't help and it actually usually hurts.

Let's face it this is not extreme enough not even remotely especially compared to some of the things people don't get any punishment for.

I would, I really really would. I don't buy into polite "timing." I mean I am pretty sure that some of those people you're defending definitely weren't like "Sorry let's have the holocaust another day" just saying. Generally when people say actual offensive things that are more then "oh man that was a bad play" or "oh mahn I am a whinny cry baby" people should speak up. It's kind of like actual ethics rather then oh I dunno political correctness ... in a game. My nonsense is an opinion. One which I have the right to. Just as you have the right to call it "nonsense." That's not something people should be punished for. Not to mention I am calm nay even rational in these statements. Just because you don't like them doesn't make them not well thought out. Riot has the audacity to say that I am part of the "5% negative enough to receive a chat restriction" literally sent me a message saying that. If that's true then tickle me pink there doing mighty fine if you ask me. . . WE ALL KNOW THAT IS NOT TRUE. Just look at what I said and think of literally ANY day you have played league.

No one cares what you "don't buy into." League is a community with its own culture. If you look back at the Tribunal voting, you'll see that the players were very consistent in what they want and what they don't want. The things I pointed out in your Reform Card? Very much DO NOT WANT.

I can see that you have some opinions on how speech should be handled, but they're frankly not relevant. I also think it's more than a little arrogant to expect that the community will defer to one guy endorsing lowest common denominator for behavior. League is better than that.

Just look at what I said and think of literally ANY day you have played league.

I don't experience League the way you do. Toxicity of the type and intensity you describe just doesn't happen in my games. That's probably because I'm smart enough not to set a match to that kerosene.

Here's a wake up call. You are defending an oligarchy. Most people I know who participate in those "tribunals" are doing it just so they can troll; the way they have been trolled. The way Riot is trolling me right now with it's ridiculous statements. For all these percentages I see about this reform and that reformed player etc. and lost games I see no actual data and have seen no credible study. Did you know for a study that involves statistics to not be biased it must be first tested by an outside non biased source. So far all I see is a bunch of brain washed munkies and some banana crunched made up numbers.

Unfortunate as it is, "male" is the default assumed gender, both in English and on the internet.

That's not to say that this assumption is fair, balanced, or even reasonable. It is, however, not really much of a reason to get bent out of shape about - at least not on a singular basis. If you want to rail against the fact that it's the default assumption, or against the ridiculousness of such an assumption, or any of the societal and cultural issues that lead to that, I will stand beside you, torch and pitchfork in hand.

But to badger one random guy for following that assumption? That's crude. It changes nothing, and accomplishes nothing. It's not the behavior of the kind of person who genuinely cares about the matter - because that person understands that such an assumption is made under a yoke of societal and cultural norms, and that the person making the assumption is not solely to blame for it.

Most people I know who participate in those "tribunals" are doing it just so they can troll; the way they have been trolled.

The Tribunal's been down for ~2 years. I don't imagine you know very many people who participate in it.

As for me, I've been playing almost 3 years myself, and know some few dozens of Tribunal participants - not a single one of which did so with any intent to troll the system. Since we're comparing notes.

I made a statement. There's an important difference, I think. I neither knew nor cared how many people you knew who previously participated in the Tribunal, because your statement and my response were both regarding people who currently participate in the Tribunal.

Nah. They've got something in place called the Instant Feedback System. It's a machine-learning NLP system that reviews logs to determine toxicity based on community data - reports, old Tribunal cases, manual adjustments, etc.

It's pretty sophisticated, and surprisingly accurate, with an error rate somewhere in the neighborhood of 1 per 6000 cases.
