Suspended without talking in all chat?

I originally posted in the help and support, but it got removed and riot said i should post it in player behavior so i hope this helps me. So i played a game with my friends, we were all in a discord but i was unable to talk at the time so i spoke through the chat in game while also listening to my friends on the discord. Now, my friends and i aren't very easily offended, we swear and throw insults jokingly and the only response we have towards each other is laughter. Yesterday, July 12th, my main account was suspended for ACTUALLY being toxic towards the enemy team after having a tilting game. I know that i deserve the suspension for not having enough self control when it comes to all-chat, and i take full responsibility for my actions. So, for the next two weeks my friend who doesnt really play league allowed me to have his account information so i can still play with my friends without having to make a new account to level up. BUT, after playing several games with my friends, the account my friend gave me was suspended as well. The game i played that i was suspended from was a victory, and i didnt type anything remotely offensive in all chat, just of course in team chat with my edgy friends. I dont know what could have possibly caused the suspension, it makes no sense to me. Maybe it has to do with my client, and the information held within it? I have no clue, but i really just want to get back to playing this game with friends. The account im posting as is my friends account, just as extra information. Please help lmao, i dont think this account violated the summoner's code. I've also submitted a ticket under this accounts name describing the same situation, but i'd probably feel better if i got a response on the boards.

You aren't allowed to share accounts. That alone is bannable.

Its against the tos read it. Also if anyone reported you for toxicity on the enemy team even if you said nothing in all chat but you still used trigger words then yes you will get punished because you used trigger words.

I just dont understand how the rules are so strict. I mean im only interacting with my friends, they're really close to me and it just doesnt make much sense. So they have a bot that checks chat logs and searches for trigger words?

yes and checking your chat logs you said a bunch of trigger words. Therefore the ban was justified. Now while i agree since it was friends it was as bad but for future reference do it on a third party chat log.

Well, if you do not get reported by anyone, you can throw the most offensive slurs you can think of and no bot will ever check that chat log. The problem is you did get reported. Which means 2 things:

  1. Someone on your team who is not your friend(s) who is/are offended by your "interaction". That or you take it All-Chat and someone on the other team is offended by your interaction. Think of it this way. When you are in your or your friend's house, you can throw all the slurs you want and no one would have any problem. But if you are in a public space (say league game or a restaurant) and you start throwing slurs, you are going to be asked to leave (banned). Agree? The key thing to remember is you are not privately with your friends, but there are other people around you.

  2. If you are queued with 5-man pre-made, then you have an asshole friend who reported you. Maybe for fun, maybe for malicious intent.

Either way. If you do not get reported, you will not get punished because you will not trigger any review or "scan" no matter how many trigger word you used. You did get banned, which means someone is offended enough to report you, be it some stranger or your friend. Just remember that when you are in public (game is shared by 10 people), you need some common social etiquette (just like how you would behave in a public restaurant or public park)

Theres no way my friends reported me, they all denied it and we were having LOT of fun at the time. My guess is someone on the enemy team reported me for god knows why, that is IF anyone reported me, thanks for your advice and help, though.

If no one reported you, I really doubt the IFS even bother to scan your chat...SOMEONE had to report you to trigger a review

Did you take your "jokes" to All Chat? And was that game a pre-made 5 with 4 of your friends or is there a random in your team?

The game was a full pre-made, and i didnt type anything in all chat pretty much the whole game. The only things that were in all chat that i typed were "LOL" and "gg".

What did the suspension message in your client say? That will help us narrow it down.

That said, there are a few things that could be happening here.

  • Account sharing is a bannable offense, for security reasons -- there is credit card information and other personal details on accounts.
  • Toxic behavior can result in punishments -- if you had anyone in your game who wasn't a friend, it could trigger. If an enemy teammate reported you and your behavior in team chat was toxic, the system could flag you. In the latter case it's sometimes possible to contact Player Support with statements from the other players in the game that your team-chat behavior was okay with them.

Well, the message states that the account has been suspended for abusive, player reported comms. And that other players judged the comms to be far below the standards of League. It then follows with a chat log of the game. This suspension is same as the one i had on my main account, 14 days, and for being toxic in chat. I can definitely get my friends to make a statement if thats whats required.

Was your chat limited to team chat, and were all the members on your team friends of yours? Are you sure none of them reported you?

The more helpful thing would be to post your logs though.

If it's ONLY within your team, I would get screenshots of ALL the players on your team in that game saying your behavior was okay with them and then send it to Player Support with an explanation of the situation. You will need ALL of them to have any real shot at getting this reversed.

I would also discourage that language in general, but in League particularly -- as you see, even if you're only talking to your team it can cause problems.

There are some friend groups, for example, where casual use of racial slurs is considered socially acceptable. That's fine -- in an isolated setting where you only have friends you know are okay with that. The moment that you start using those words in a game with someone who ISN'T okay with that, however, you're forcing them to put up with your language usage and your behavior.

If the game had been all friends, you'd have a good case for Player Support if they all vouched for you. With some players who aren't your friends affected by your behavior, however, I doubt you'll have much luck.

If one of your friends reported you or even if an enemy just happened to report you, these parts would be most likely to cause the suspension.

%%%%%% on the boards symbolizes hate speech usually which Riot has a zero tolerance policy for. gay is debatable in this case. even though you stared it yourself ni**** is most likely being identified as a racial slur.

My advice: Either invest so you can speak with friends on voice comms or avoid typing edgy stuff, even with just friends.

Okay, but since it was with friends, and since the enemy team has essentially no reason to report me... is there any way to get the account back during the 2 weeks of suspension? I know about the ticket system, and i've uploaded a ticket there discussing this but is there any other way?

The instant feedback system doesn't consider the situation you're in. The tribunal used to so there were less bans issued. Now you can get banned for "trigger words". I honestly wish we knew what these were because I don't say anything offensive in game but have received multiple chat bans and now a suspension as well. In some of my logs the worst things I've said are "you're so toxic" "stop being toxic" etc but still apparently citable. I also submitted a ticket and would really like an explanation of this crap.

Have everyone in that game submit a support ticket regarding your ban. Every single person on your team in that specific game.

If the game was in SR, 4 players have to vouch for you.

If the game was in TT, 2 players have to vouch for you.
