LeaverBuster -----> Low Priority Que . . . Not an ideal solution
First off, I am 100% behind there being consequences for being AFK or leaving a game, whatever the reason. That being said, I have never intentionally left a game, nor have I ever been intentionally AFK. I have been playing this game (fairly poorly) since mid season 3 and it is only in the last 2-3 months that I have had any interaction with LeaverBuster.
My beef is with the Low Priority Que as a punishment for LeaverBuster. If I was intentionally AFK or leaving, this punishment might be appropriate. As my "leaves" have all been the result of computer issues and disconnects (and one time where I fell asleep during the loading screen), I have no "behavior" to correct. As such, the 10 or 20 minute wait before queuing serves no purpose. It would be kinder to just ban people in my situation for however long is appropriate, or require some proof of a different CPU or internet provider. If anything, the lengthy wait time just increases the likelihood that I will have hardware issues. The additional queue time is basically the equivalent of a 3 month ban to me, as I am a father with a full time job and it is rare that I can justify the additional time to play a game to begin with. Instead of getting in a game or two during the week, I have to hope for a free weekend night.
I fully understand the issues that playing 4 v 5 causes, whatever the reason. It wasn't until the advent of the "remake" that I began having issues. My CPU is slow enough, that if I don't connect initially, I don't load in until after the "remake" vote. While this is no one else's fault, I do often load soon enough to watch the vote go through.
Pity party over . . . please Riot find another way to punish me for this sin, though. Take my money, take my fake Riot money, hell, straight up ban me for however long you think is appropriate. Please don't however lengthen the amount of time it takes to play one game.
