Report before a game

Let's say a player is being really toxic in champion select. This person decides they are going to troll or otherwise ruin the game for everyone. It's clear that you are about to lose a game before it begins. Usually it comes down to a player to dodge match making to save you from it, otherwise, prepare for at least twenty minutes of raging and trolling. For example, just a moment ago a player accidentally banned away the champion our support wanted to play. He immediately typed "F*** you" and decided he was going to pick Jax with smite and follow the jungler (the person who accidentally banned his character away) around and troll him. Some one dodged thankfully. My proposal, let us report this person in champion select and boot him out so he has to wait the 5 minutes. I'm sure it would take some trial and error to find a good system of doing that, but I feel it would be worth it.

if you know he is going to troll.. simply dodge.. losing is worst than waiting 5 minutes .

there should be a way to doge without ban or timer

for this particular case, I asked for at least a warning for the current person banning, to let them know that someone on their team intent picked it.

They actually have put an icon in now, over the champion that you select to ban, with the symbol for the role of your teammate who is playing it. So there really isn't any excuse any longer for "accidentally" banning a teammates champion.

But I have a feeling that people would use this to take champ select hostage in premades. Where the group would threaten to kick the 5th if they played a certain champ, or didn't agree to change roles, etc. I think it could be a good idea in principle, as long as there was a way that it couldn't be abused.

I think a lot of people jump to conclusions in champ select. I've had some really trolly guys in champ select who then actually play seriously in game. I've had a jayce adc who got pissed because his jhin was banned... I even went anivia support because jayce/anivia ... come on, that sounds like a thrashing waiting to happen.

No one fed this guy's rage... no one said oh fuck jayce?! Play a real adc you moron. No one responded to his threats. No one gave him the attention he was looking for and when we got in game, we fucking MURDERED. I got S+ anivia support. We crushed their team. I reported jayce afterwards still, because come on, don't threaten people in champ select like a little bitch (regardless of winning or not).

So I guess my point is just ...give people a chance. If they do end up trolling, oh well, they're risking their account. But if you don't respond to their threats of trolling, in my experience, most of them don't troll. All they want is someone to piss off because they are pissed off. Once they see no one is biting, they chill out and actually focus on the game.
