Third Party Program Ban

Hi, I just wanted to discuss about my recent ban on League for using 'third party programs' to gain 'competitive advantage'.

It was just yesterday that I got permanently banned and I assure I have not used any third party programs to gain any competitive edge. I contacted Riot Support as soon as I read the email for my ban. And it turns out the support person handling my case had 'personally reviewed the suspension' but 'could not share what we found in our investigations'. Right now there appears there is nothing I can do as some support player is potentially just abusing his/her power to destroy someone's account. This is clearly unjust as they cannot even provide me with the 'evidence' they appeared to have found.

My account has lasted 4 years without getting banned, only a 5-game low priority queue once. I also have virtually zero gameplay that suggests I am using third party programs to even gain any competitive edge. As shown in the album below, I have barely even played rank games, I have gone up one division since ranked restarted and I play an insane amount of normal games with my friends and mostly lose with mediocre KDAs. No signs of using third party programs or anything... Like if I did use third party programs to climb from Silver II to Silver I, I am genuinely pathetic... And if I'm using it in normal games I'm actually sad lol.

I feel extremely violated as I was just stripped of my account without any prior notice or any leading evidence to prove this, just the word of a Riot support member... Also, farewell to this community if my suspension remains. Probably not the best of ideas to stay with a company who provides customer service like this. Especially one that made US$1.6 billion in revenue during the year 2015 but could not afford to show evidence for a ban.

I'll let you guys decide if I was banned appropriately.

TLDR: riot is banning people without providing ample evidence and its really not right

Stopped reading here. In what universe would you think an adult who is doing their job is going to cackle maniacally as they randomly choose people to ban for no reason what so ever.

They can't show you evidence because more often than not if you were someone uses these cheats what's stopping you from giving what ever Riot tells you to these people who make the hacks? Riot takes pride with security for the game. Even one ounce of information could potential hurt the game massively.

If you truly did nothing wrong just keep contacting support till you get a live person. When they do ban waves like this loads of people innocent or not are contacting them and because of that they need to use bottled response. It sucks but when you have people trying to cheat the system they want to be able to help the actual people who need help and not being who claim they are innocent and try to get their accounts back just to cheat again!

This ban wave is a mistake. Me and 4 people from my area who do not use any 3rd party programs 100% were also banned this month. I don't even have a personal PC, i play only at an PC cafe and there is 0% chance that their system scan found anything there and i'm still being ignored by the Support team, as usual.

Not to Necro a month old thread, but THE SYSTEM IS FLAWED AND THERE IS HOPE. Went through the EXACT SAME THING VERBATIM as the OP. Then, about a month later (a few days ago) I SOMEHOW received an apology letter from RIOT, and my perma ban was lifted due to an error in their instant feedback system. But according to that moronic Rioter I delt with, I was 10000000% def a hacker and deserved what I got because They "personally found evidence" even though there was absolutely zero evidence to back up their claims in any replays, or stats of my matches. Even when I requested my case be escalated to a higher level of support, they just blew me off, and closed my case. Just goes to show how 100% completely moronic their new ban system and policies regarding it are. Don't know how I was unbanned, but I'll take the win and hope Templar Iytsuna (the horrible CS Rep) is forced to find employment elsewhere.

They don't provide information regarding the issue taht flagged the account as that makes it easier for scripting site to try and hide the scripts.

Right now there appears there is nothing I can do as some support player is potentially just abusing his/her power to destroy someone's account.

The account is flagged for 3rd party due to a automated algorithm designed to detect specific flags associated with scripts/hack/macros ect. This would not have been a manual review until after you contacted player support. This is beyond conspiracy theory. The chance that it is a false positive is extremely low.

Some things that could have happened where you had no knowledge.

  1. Your account was compromised.
  2. You played on someone elses computer that has scripts/hacks installed
  3. You let someone else play on your account that used scripts/hacks.
  4. Macros
  5. Altering game files in a manner that flagged the game.(mostly what people call zoomhacks.)
  6. A background program that interferes with league.
  7. Your lying.

These are the most likely answers.
