Why is it that just because I'm the one who fed, I'm not allowed to FF?

So picture this 'hypothetically'-

You're in a game as Talon, against a Heimerdinger. A very annoying lane of course. He outplays you by pressing Q a bunch and occasionally pressing R. Eventually you're 3/8, so a pretty bad score but it could be worse. The rest of your team is doing pretty bad as well, with an 0/3 Caitlyn for example. The game seems unwinnable so you whip out the ol' reliable /ff. The vote fails 2/3 because your teammates think you're a douche for wanting to surrender after you feed. WHAT KIND OF SENSE DOES THAT MAKE???

I'm already tilted enough that I'm feeding, but then to add on "We won't ff so you can suffer" ISN'T going to make anything better. you're wasting the time of EVERYONE in the game, and I'm just gonna be playing worse.

That is the story of one of the most tilting games I've ever had. If someone can explain this mindset to me that'd be great.

Why not just farm, rotate well and bank on late game?

No game is 100% lost. People throw / misplay all the time.

That.. doesn't make sense to me either.

I will say though that everyone's allowed to vote yes/no on a surrender for whatever reason they choose - if they just happen to not want to for a kinda crappy reason like that, then that's their prerogative. It's still kinda rude of them to vote based on a petty reason like that, but meh, c'est la vie.

The only recommendation I have is don't be that person - vote based on whether you think the game is winnable or not, not based on anyone else's opinion or idea or score.

If I were in your scenario, I'd do just as I did with past melee vs range matches: take my licks, strategize an alternate build, appreciate jungler assistance rather than demand it, and do what I can as the game goes on.

If you had given up then because you couldn't break even for your lane, that's on you. A recent game of mine had a player calling for FFs for simply being down 0/1/0 and not able to do much. No need to always play super carry really.

Okay I read the title wrong but I'd like to throw this question out there. If you are the most fed player on your team, and you start up a surrender vote, would others most likely vote yes or no? Usually when I do this, it's late game and our team is severely lacking in coordination compared to the other. Sure, I'm ahead, but usually our team can't/won't group, gets smashed in 2+ team fights, throws/gives at least 2 objectives for free or with bonus pie. Idk.

I actually do this all the time, yeah it is petty but if the surrender vote is called by a person I felt lost us the game then I am not going to vote yes. It would he like if me and 4 people went to a water park and one person was making it a terrible experience. If he suggests we go home I'm going to say F you. If one of the others then decides yeah it is time to go, then yes we can go.

My opinion is you don't get to make the mess and then be the first to run from it.
