A fix to replace the queue dodge penalty

So, I am sitting here waiting out a 30 minute queue dodge penalty. I dodged because of a juvenile dispute in a ranked queue game, and I think we need a better solution than the dodge and penalty method.

So, I was queued, and had mid. Our top lane hovers Karthus, which is a bit against meta, but not a crazy pick. Our jungle wanted the top to take a conventional fighter, and argues for top to do so. When top resists, our jungle bans Karthus, which IMHO is report-worthy. Our top then chooses Ekko, which was a fine choice and definitely in meta. I had offered to trade with top, but I had already locked Ziggs, and he didn't have Ziggs. I then told jungle that I would have reported him for banning out a champ that a teammate hovers. Jungle decides to go completely radioactive at this point, and locks Janna jungle with the last pick. So, I dodge for the second time in 12 hours, and take a 30 minute penalty.

So, I have a simple proposal. After every player has locked, and in the intervening 30 seconds before the start of the game, give an option for each player to choose to dodge the queue. If 4 out of 5 teammates choose to dodge, then the game is dissolved and the players go back to the waiting screen. I think this may not only fix the problem I just encountered, but it will also work on forcing trolls to either moderate their behavior or face a long wait time. The downside is that it will force out off-meta picks, but I would argue that trolling is a much bigger problem than bullying out off-meta players.

Thoughts?

As a player who routinely uses off the wall picks, I strongly disagree. This is the same reason that teambuilder was cancer. Punishing people who have done nothing wrong is not an acceptable cost to dealing with trolls.

I dodged because of a juvenile dispute

You dodged. Your reason is unimportant.

I then told jungle that I would have reported him

And then summoner 14 your jungler for not playing the way you want him to play.

And you want to talk about trolling and queue dodge penalties? Doctor, summoner 7 thyself.

So basically this give duos/premade power? they already have power while in game (surrender vote) and now you want to give them the power to dodge with no repercussions?

Nope. Your complaints are invalid.

My main problem with this idea is that there is a lot of mind games in champ select. If you get totally destroyed in champ select, I don't think you should be able to dissolve the game with no penalties. If champ select goes by and one team has X-more OP champs than the other team, people can just vote to dissolve and have a do-over. This takes a lot of pressure out of managing your picks and bans effectively in my opinion.

I know you're getting downvoted, but don't get discouraged. Boosters and other no life individuals sit here and literally their entire lives revolve around negging these posts. They literally get a high from it or something.

Also, they want to control and manufacture the appearance of community consent to a particular issue by downvoting and troll posting.

Their objective is to keep things to five ruined games (and lives) per hour, so that they continue raking in the cash. (Which is probably tax free and should be investigated by the IRS....just saying.)

I agree and I would like to see it in game, the only downside would be 4-map premades
