Booohooo someone calls you bad or someone gets mad at you in league, congrats lets cry about it to a report system that perma bans for calling someone bad. Hey guess what you are bad, but if you are playing ranked you should be trying your best. Playing new things in ranked isn't trying your best. So if someone gets pissed off at your for trolling and trying new shit in a COMPETETIVE ENVIRONMENT it shouldn't be the person getting mad and saying something about it that gets punished. I don't understand how you can say "Here is a competitive environment, do whatever the hell you want, and then punish players who get mad when they try but others don't. On the flip side lets say you are having a bad game, you understand that hell you may even have a 80% win rate. Today just isn't your day though. If you don't like the way someone is talking to you mute them. Banning players because they said something mean to someone is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard of. There is a mute system in the game and when a player gets perma banned because they were mean to another player that is some bullshit. Ban players who actually hurt the physical aspect of the game like feeders and afkers. Why shouldn't league players be able to say what they want, ITS A VIDEO GAME if you don't like what someone has to say mute their ass. there is a ping system for communications.

It's not about being offended or having hurt feelings.

It's about the fact that having someone tell you 'you are bad' is not helpful during a very tense game. It's annoying. It gets under your skin while you are trying to play. You don't get banned 'because you are mean.' You get banned because 'you are annoying and we don't like it.'

Read your chat logs as if someone random said that to you.

The baseline for toxicity is generated by the playerbase to punish/moderate the playerbase. They aren't some random lines in the sand that Riot made up.
