I come to this board to ask for help you need to do something about the summoners telling other players to KYS, Or Commit suicide I take this very serious as a lot of people should this is not a joke.. I was in the military and knew a lot of soilders who took there own lifes and it hurts me so much to see people tell others to do this and laugh about it like its not a big deal and theres people out there that would seriously probably do it if someone told them to do it Video game or not this crap needs to be addressed I'm tired of hearing it in every single game I play I mute them immediately but it still is effecting me more then I though it would and I report every person who does it but, i'm guessing nothing gets done about if because if you guys were to ban that many people who actually tell other players to do this act you all would be losing profit from it... I COME TO THIS DISCUSSION FOR HELP A PLEA OF ALL SUMMONERS this needs to stop please do something about these people.. And also its a warning because if someone actually does do it. What a tragedy it would be.. :/ HELP

There are pretty strict policies as it is.

Please stop thinking people are idiots who would kill themselves because some moron told them to do so in a video game. As a person with a mental health diagnosis longer than my arm, I find your (although certainly well intentioned) words and actions EXTREMELY condescending and somewhat insulting. We are not stupid, we are ill.

Report the offending party, and if you really want to help the victim, say something positive to them. I'm a fan of saying "For what it's worth, I'm enjoying playing with you" or, if I feel a bit more jokey "I love you!"

My last game I was told KMS and that someone hoped I was killed in a mass shooting.

I was banned. The Zed kept playing and a few games later got a leave. I did not retaliate, to them or to the Draven on my team who committed 3 reportable offenses.

I don't leave. I don't intentionally feed. I don't curse or berate teammates and very most often will mute offenders.

tbh words and phrases like that need to be blacklisted so that if some dickhead says it in game, upon the game's conclusion they get a nice shiny message telling them to fuck off out of the LoL community permanently.

There are very few scenarios where I'd agree with zero tolerance policies, but this certainly is an appropriate scenario for it.

Hey, I feel you, OP. The game is pretty bad right now when it comes to toxicity, as there is a LOT of it. I've also experienced it quite recently myself (my last game), and I'll level with you: If I had a say in it, I'd definitely be extremely Draconic when it comes to putting out punishment against people who tell others to kill themselves, or extreme verbal abuse.

I don't tolerate that kind of mentality in games, and I definitely don't tolerate that kind of attitude and speech in real life.

Riot doesn't care. I heard a kid messaged them saying something along the lines of "Un ban my account or I will kill myself" they send you an automated response and he killed himself. Will edit with the article if I can find it.

Here is an exact quote of what support says to you if you even mention suicide. Even if you tell them that if you get another automated response that you will kill yourself, they send you this automated response:

"Hello Summoner,

First and foremost, neither I nor anyone at Riot Games want you to hurt yourself.

I have provided a couple links for websites which handle these sorts of concerns, but I also recommend seeking a professional you can speak with directly. I don't want you to feel as though I'm dismissing you, but I'm not in any way qualified to help counsel you, and I don't want to make things worse.

KYS is instantly punishable, and there are flag words. Kys, gg ez, etc. are all flagging words. Once you report, the system will instantly check, verify, and issue punishment.

This kind of speaks to me. I've been depressed for about 6 years now and I play LoL a lot to try to not focus on it. Well one morning it was particularly rough. I held a gun to my head but couldn't press the trigger. A few hours went by and I hopped on League. 3rd game in I think and I had someone on my team tell me to "Fucking kill yourself you fucking idiot". I didn't even mess up that much. All I could feel was regret for not pulling it.

People like this are why I never rage. I would never want to make someone hurt...and because of some video game? Pretty stupid reason to tell someone to kill themselves imo.
