Do people get a punishment if the do an offense only once?

So I got a premade of 4 in my game today who trolled the game as hard as they could. Banning both my pick intents, wasting summoner spells before leaving the base leaving me 1v2 for most of the early game etc..So of course I reported them then checked their match history & noticed that this might be the only game they decided to do that for some reason. My question is will they get any kind of punishment for doing it once or are they clear if they don't repeat it?

It depends. It generally takes highly toxic behavior to trigger a punishment off one match. On the other hand, if they do it more often than you observed, it's really easy to catch a review.

Very much highly depends. I mean you have to blow up and break a lot of the summoners code in one game to deserve being punished. Otherwise you get a mesg from rito say "Hey you ok? I know we all can have bad day but we gonna need you to chill the hell out bro"

You can only get one shotted by spamming hate speech 10+ times and ranting like a lunatic. You can be pretty toxic in this game and get away with it.
