Don't understand the ban system

Hey, so i got banned for my first time since i play from s3. In last season i got honor lvl 5 and i really dont ususally flame. But today i played one game with my friend in bronze and ofc we got really bronze teammates. As an adc i got mad at my support being a prick, basically not doing anythign helpful. So i tell him "you know your passive can heal me when you kill a minion right?" after that he started spamming in all chat, begging them to report me. He said "i hope you get perma banned" and stuff like that. Also midlaner comes to his aid saying "stfu". So i was like okay please kys, when i was super mad. Then i stopped using chat so i wouldnt really say anything else. We won the game, so i was like - yea whatever dont report him its ok. Then i get the ban notification. Don't get how i get banned for saying one word. I even stopped chatting later to avoid being more mad. Also I really don't usually flame. So why ban? For one time use? [slayer-jinx-unamused]

Because you told someone to end their life over a video game? How can you seriously be surprised that you get banned for that? There is a reason why this falls under Riots zero tolerance rule (which always ends in a 14 day ban).

Riot treats telling somebody to kill themselves with zero tolerance, resulting in an immediate 14-day ban.

Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards hate speech and encouragement to self-harm. Telling another to kill themselves is a pretty serious statement to make, and definitely falls under encouraging self-harm, whether you intend it seriously or not. Another player ending their own life is NOT an acceptable topic for "light-hearted banter" or "jokes."

These behaviors earn -- and have earned for a while -- an immediate 14-day ban on the first offense.

Probably you said something after game. After game chat is as legit as ingame even you don't post game chat log.
