If it were due to toxicity, I've only seen it happen when the OP was insulting himself in the chat logs.

Actually, we prefer using popcorn stickers. There are different champs eating popcorns now, including Panth, Leona, Nami and now, even Malzahar!!
We do want to try to educate people with what is acceptable and what isn't. Most they time they end up getting on the defensive and saying other things like the 'First Amendment' or 'Right to defend myself'. The worse is sometimes the OP will try to come back and insult us. That, is when the popcorn starts to happen.

Pretty much never, if you were banned for toxicity, it doesnt matter if you thought it was unfair or not, by riot's standards you deserved what you got. If you get perm'd its because you had suspensions prior to this ban OR you were so toxic one game they just decided to perma you. Either way, if it's for toxicity, its not lookin good

If you don't post them, we can't help you. But if you post them, we can quote them and show you where in the rules it says that isn't allowed. Frankly, if you're hiding them, you probably already know you deserve the ban.
