Punished unfairly?

I had a 10 game chat restriction, which I learned from!...300 games later, got another 10 game chat restriction for two games, and one of which is obviously not reportable. I'd like some feedback!

Side note, when I said "god damn, he's retarded" I mean the other teams jungler, xin. I was destroying him. This was not in /all. To my knowledge, fiddle was actually inting. He'd ult into 5 while we weren't even close to him. In high plat, that's 100% inting. The first game I can understand because I was a little aggressive towards kayle after she and leona flamed me, but one game? The next game I got kayle as my top, and I apologized and camped him. He played Jax, me udyr, and we won! He made an epic backdoor and won the game singlehandedly. I don't believe I should've gotten punished for these two games, especially the second one. Can anyone give me advice to not let this happen in the future??

So this is all insults, which aren't allowed. "Retarded" also tends to get punished reliably, whether it's in all-chat or team-chat. Don't call people retarded on League.

While this term is used colloquially in some circles where it doesn't carry the same pejorative connotation of its root word, it's not acceptable in League.

I didn't call anyone hate speech, other than my _ Zoe She was doing really well and I either say that or my boy Zoe.

woops. thought i said miss fortune instead of zoe. yeah, she didnt do too hot early, but she landed some really good q's later on. she did really well that game, and there's absolutely no way she could've taken offense to something that means the same as, "my BOY ZOE"

I'm not saying I agree with it. I'm saying that according to Riot, no matter positive or negative context, the phrases "n--gger", "f--ggot", and "kys" will be taken the same way and will get you banned.

Ignoring the exceedingly negative chat (and by the way, both games contained reportable offenses. You may not see as much in one of them, but both games were bad.), you used hate speech three times - two in directly insulting manners.

If you only got a chat restriction from this, either you weren't reported for hate speech, or the IFS may have missed something here.

So? Hate speech is hate speech. It doesn't matter if you intended it in a complimentary way, or if you did it without the target of the insult knowing - it's still very much against the rules.

You could've literally just said "MY MAN ZOE" and/or "hes not great" for both cases, and I wouldn't ever have had need to point them out.

By all rights, your account should have suffered a 14-day ban from these logs for those instances of hate speech.

Hate speech is speech that attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as race, religion, ethnic origin, national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Directly from google.

So the n word is hate speech for the however many million people say it in a complimentary way? Then I guess a handful of movies, memes, vines, and songs are guilty of hate speech.

Are you in a movie, meme, vine, or song? No? Then that argument doesn't work.

You're in League of Legends. It has its own rules. The rules, restrictions, and traditions of movies, memes, vines, and songs do not apply here.

The rules that do apply are those that Riot made. Which, let's bring that up real quick, shall we?

v. Transmitting or communicating any content which, in the sole and exclusive discretion of Riot Games, is deemed offensive, including language that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, or racially, ethically, or otherwise objectionable;

While it isn't stated here in League's Terms of Use, Riot has a strong stance against hate speech of any kind, and they don't care if you mean it in a positive way or a negative way. You used a word that has been historically used to condemn, segregate, and demean people for their skin color.

Typically, if the IFS sees hate speech like that, it issues a 14-day ban for the first punishment, because it should be a no-brainer that racial slurs like it (and other such hate speech) are not welcome.

Hate speech on the basis of disability. Like I said; three instances of hate speech, two of which were directed. Regardless of whether the Xin Zhao saw it or not, you still insulted him by leveraging a disability (an outdated terminology for one, no less) as an insult.

I added the other line (mentioning Kayle's calling you it) for the sake of total clarity, though it's redundant because, as mentioned, even innocuous usage is regarded as punishable.

Also worth noting: Using the term "retard" as an insult appears to be on the rise to fit into Riot's zero-tolerance policy alongside racial and homophobic slurs. It still doesn't seem to be quite there yet, I don't think, but it's getting there, definitely.

By and large, positive chat and honoring teammates. Negative behavior (slight insults included, such as calling your teammates "blind" for missing things) can cause reports to be validated, and, whether or not you're punished, those valid reports will slow Honor progress.

You can, of course, remain generally neutral, tossing the occasional "GL/HF", "GJ", or other short barks or quips, but being positive can, at the very least, lead to increased gain of direct Honors from teammates.

And, of course, I can't emphasize this enough: Honor your teammates. If nothing else, shoot for that Team Honor Bonus.

So, TL;DR - avoid even modest negative behaviors, try to be a positive force on your teams, and make a point to Honor someone every match, if only for the Team Honor bonus. Those are the three best (and as far as I know, only) tips to climb/reclimb Honor.

Oh yeah. I always give an honor,and I normally get atleast 1 honor a game. How long does it take? How many games? I can play around 300-400 a month. And yeah, I guess I just won't talk. I'll be positive in pre and post game, but during the game my best chance is to stay quiet and ping. I've never reached a checkpoint, so no clue how.

Being perfectly frank, I've got no fuckin' clue. There's a fair amount of mixed information from various players who've dropped below Honor 2 for whatever reason, and I've seen someone somewhere claim they left Honor 0 in a matter of two weeks.

Generally speaking, I'd expect that, on best behavior, it should take about a month or two of play to make solid progress, but, all said, there's not a lot to go off of for estimating the time it'll take.

By design. Honor is meant to be a year-long process. At least there's still time and a half to hit Honor Level 2 again before Season's end.

I did! Another summoner told me that regardless of how words are used, can still be considered hate speech. If my intent is not to be hateful, but to rather compliment someone on a good play they made, I don't think it should be hate speech. If it was hate speech, then millions of people around the world would be punished in game.

here's the most obvious lines. But tbh, nearly 80% of all the logs are negative and offensive and could also grant you a punishment.

ekko was on enemy team, idk how get eyes is toxic, hes retarded was not to my team, fiddle was actually inting, which i reported him for.... you dont go 1v5 dive when ur 3 levels behind. first game, yes it was toxic.
