The Toxic Players Beat Me, They don't have to beat you

Man, I think I'm done. What an innately enjoyable game. This is one of the only games that I could keep my attention on that's not create - a - character rpg. I've thoroughly enjoyed my run, but people are just too damn toxic. And I can hear already "that's what the mute feature is for." A couple points on that: firstly, toxicity festers in this game. As soon as the 0/7 top laner decides he wants to blame you, tell you you have no friends, that you're a "retard" or what have you, watch as the next person dives into a 1 v 3, dies and if you're even in the same lane, albeit half the map away, that person now agrees that everything's on you. Before you know it, you're muting the whole team or trying to defend yourself in all chat, which is where the conversation inevitably moves. Point 2: no one really plays an online game to be alone. It's a shame that we've shat all over the experience of enjoying a game with other people to the point where the best advice we have is just to mute everyone. We tend to act like there's this huge community offensive against toxicity and there's not. With more than half the player base low gold or high silver and below, the "you're bad" phrase is probably justifiable to anyone you say it to. Quite frankly, who gives a fuck? I didn't major in LoL in college. I don't get paid to play it. Your mmr matched you with me, so you're not doing too well either there, champ. I'm a huge extrovert, so I enjoy shit like this where people can connect, but anonymity is a hell of a drug, and the same people that can't even give a speech in public speaking class or have anxiety attacks at the thought of greeting someone they don't know are all of a sudden iron clad when they get in front of the keyboard. Anyway, no one gives a shit that I'm leaving, that's not the point. The point is this, that community effort for a lack of toxicity is pretty much nonexistent, but it IS such an enjoyable game. So if you've made it this far into this (I don't know why the hell you would, but thanks) it is a good product. If you can put that wall up and block out the negativity, then the game is well worth it. I on the other hand just can't get down with it because these are real people acting the way they are, and something about that bothers me more than it should (and admittedly, sometimes makes me react in ways I'm not proud of). So ya'll take care boys. Enjoy it if you can. ~Mhin

I know the feeling. Weirdly I've had the opposite experience from you though -- my League experience has been largely fantastic, and I've found a lot more cool, friendly players who didn't normally talk until I started engaging them then I did toxic assholes [although the latter does exist, and tends to be very outspoken].

If you decide to stick around, feel free to add me. I'm always happy to have fun people to play with.

Some of us definitely do. It's not good to see someone so fed up with the toxic elements of the community that they feel they have to leave. :(

Honestly I do not have that kind of issue much anymore. Especially when i have some up beat and positive music playing.

Honestly ive started to find that the attitude you go into a game with is reflected in other people....... Since i start out the game saying "hello, good luck, and have fun everyone" i often times have a more positive game.

It is also nice to join some of the discord communities that are all around and game with them, since you said you were an Extrovert that could be something you could do easily, and can have your discord as anonymous as you want it to be.
