Putting a report button in pregame lobby: Why is there not a report button in the pregame lobby?

You start up a game you display the champion that you want to play and then for some reason your team bans that champ. Admittedly sometimes it is a mistake but, I've seen streamers intentionally feed because people that troll them in pregame lobby do not get punishment. As a player you have to play out a game that you may not want to because you are a one trick and you generally enjoy only playing that one champion in order to report the pregame shenanigans or you dodge and there is no consequences to the person who bans your champ. If people got punished for trolling in pregame it would definitely reduce the amount of intentionally feeding in league of legends. What do you guys think should riot games implement a pregame report button?

I don't think they've ever mentioned that they're adding that functionality, but it would be nice in some cases. And yeah, banning teammates' champs can be a dick move sometimes, but I personally don't have a problem with it if someone enters champ select with the sole intent of trolling. For example: I got into champ select yesterday and this guy wanted to play top Bard. I was upset because I had to waste my ban on banning his troll pick, so a voting system to kick players like that would be nice but I'm not sure if it'll happen in the near future. It could be difficult to implement and monitor for accuracy due to the chaotic nature of champ select.

It isn't there because it would be abused for stupid reasons, like reporting a teammate because they didn't want to give up their role/champion.

It would be an annoyance.

I don't think this would be a good idea. And said reason would be because 1) people will end up reporting something minor when they should get ready to plan a strategy or their mastery and runes (even though I was told there will be an update about that). 2) People may end up so focus on the report with the little time they have left that they will end up causing a dodge and risk being punished with a low priority queue or worst. 3) Blind pick exists for a reason as to where players can simply choose the champion they want without having an ally ban it accidentally. And while this is a game mode new players starts with, it still serves a purpose for other than just new players.

These are the reason I could think of as to why there is no report button in pregame lobby.[slayer-jinx-wink]

if I see somebody pick something retarded, I ban them. it's simple.

Imo, if you really want to report someone that does something like this to you, your best bet is to stick it out to the end of the game and report them at the end game screen.

I feel it is imperative to inform you that banning your pick intent is not a bannable offense.
