One of my friends.....

Plays league with me all the time, and i can honestly say that in about 70%+ of the games we play he uses a variation of the N word, or refers to players as the following, (Offensive to some) --Removed by Moderation-- "I hope you die", trash, shit, fucking idiot, fucking scum
and the list goes on.

I do report him whenever he uses fouler language of those choices, but to my surprise there hasn't been a single chat ban on his account. I live down the street from him and we play together all the time so i can confirm that he isn't hiding a ban. I don't want to send a ticket because i fear his account may be permad, and i don't personally find these words offensive to where i believe a perma is necessary.

I have 2 perma banned accounts, however i didn't use foul language like this, i called people trash, feeders, noobs, dumbies, and the worst thing i said was "I hope you go commit toaster bath" (because of a meme), or "You Smell like Peanuts" ( To reference The Greatest Showman).

SO i want to understand why his account hasn't had action against it, as i am of the understanding that some of these words can be considered hate speech.

Preferably i would like a board moderator or somebody of the like to clarify on this. It is rather upsetting when i think about my perma bans being for things much less sever than this, but see this stuff go unpunished.

This in game chat behavior has gone on for a little over 2 years, and he received a 10 game chat ban over a year ago for talking about suicide in all chat.

Edit: Really appreciate the unnecessary downvotes??

Hello,

I edited out the long list of hate speech, racial slurs, a pejorative language from your post. While we do permit the use of these terms on Player Behavior, it is only in the context of your personal chat logs. There is no need to list that much offensive terminology.

In relation to your question, the instant feedback system (or IFS) is designed to catch certain words or phrases. Terminology such as you listed as your friend said would absolutely be caught and there is zero tolerance for it. Any phrase that tells someone to commit suicide in any form (a toaster bath would definitely count and is absolutely unacceptable behavior) will also be punished with no tolerance. If your friend truly has never been banned over such language, I strongly encourage you to tell him to stop it because he will lose access to his account. Do not use those phrases or words in game or on the Boards.

If you have questions about this edit, feel free to reach out to the Moderation Team via:

You're not a very good liar. You made it way too obvious.

Now this is a theory. Before there has been bans due to premades reporting a buddy because apparently it is funny. Perhaps they added that to the system to filter reports made by premades out. There is no evidence that this is what is happening, just a theory.

Don't report him, nobody should ever be banned for using words.

don't try to make sense of their trash discipline system. Just move hte chat box off screen and use pings. It's the only way for thick skinned competitive people to not get banned. The system is designed for snowflakes.

The report system is not really consistent, so you shouldn't really rely on it.

Btw, you should let your friend speak his mind, and just mute/ignore him when you dislike how he's doing it. No need to wish his account termination

You sound like a pretty bad friend to me. I understand telling him to stop maybe IRL or at school, but reporting your friend is just dumb. If he ever did get in trouble you'd be sabotaging him and backstabbing your friend. Just tell him not to keep doing it or else he might get in trouble, stop reporting him, that when he does get in trouble AND HE WILL EVENTUALLY IF HE DOESNT LISTEN, it's not on your conscience and he's the only one to blame.
