team mates get all beat up, they got to blame someone, after all, it could NEVER be their fault that their lane went up in smoke. well, that some other one is gonna get reported for some damned thing. well that someone ends up ME. next time i go to join a match, to my surprise, i get the "Leave Buster"...BULL SHIT... i did NOT leave, yet i "Must" type "I Agree". I haven't any options...Does any one check the logs before dolling out "Leave Buster" or do they simply take for granted that these lying bastards are upstanding League citizens?

These all count towards leaver buster:

Leaving & returning to the game
AFKing
Clicking around the fountain, not doing anything
Through manual audit, jungle farming / AFK lane farming

No, because those are entirely separate systems. LeaverBuster penalties are handed out by an automated system that detects leaves and AFKs (and yes, even if you don't leave a game but were AFK for a while, it knows and will issue a penalty).

You don't have to fully leave to be flagged as AFK and receive a penalty after the game. Standing in one place for a prolonged period of time will flag you. Even just wandering around in base or a side lane or whatnot and not contributing to the game will flag you. Sure, you don't get the "hey, you're going to be disconnected due to inactivity" notice, but the game still knows and will penalize you for those behaviors.

He described literally the only ways to get a Leaver Buster. If you got a Leaver Buster notice, then you did one of those things, regardless of what you said in your OP.

This is the first time you've actually claimed not leaving or being inactive. The reason we're all making this very clear is that SO many people come around saying "oh I didn't leave the game" and they're technically correct that they did not leave. But then it turns out they were doing one of several other things that's functionally AFK and still gets you flagged by the system. So yeah, when somebody appears to be carefully choosing their words in order to be technically correct like that, it's going to be questioned.

I would say if you strongly believe you were falsely flagged, you should submit a support ticket to have them look into it. But realistically, it's just a leaverbuster penalty. By the time support gets to the ticket, you'll have worked off the penalty anyhow. And it's not like your account is in danger of a permanent ban, because that's an entirely different system. The worst that happens is if you leave another game, you get a longer penalty. But if you don't leave/AFK in games as you said, then that's not even a likely result.

Do you get disconnected from the internet? If your character is not moving for whatever reason, you can be flagged as AFK.

I would advise being less confrontational to the people who only want to help you understand. Calling them names is not going to get you very far.

Wait, he calls people names and gets an admin to comment but when I asked the same thing last week why I got an unprovoked leaver buster everyone on riot team remains quiet. What gives?

While being "AFK" is literally not the same as "leaving", but it still counts towards the leaver buster.

You could be in a match, clicking around the fountain and not contributing, and it'll still count you as AFK.

You would have never left the match, but you'll still be punished by leaver buster.

Repeated inting/trolling in every single game. Idk how Riot goes about 2week/perma bans but I'd say this is a great opportunity for more severe punishment.

There are two parts that you might disagree with on the leaverbuster screen: The rules, or the accusation that you left the game.

You've very aggressively made the point clear that it's not the latter. But the former is pointless, because the rules are not optional. So there's no need for any other options.

Here's a tip: If you spent more time explaining yourself and less time insulting people, you might not even "have to" insult people that much to begin with.

Leave buster can still catch you if you stop playing the game but stay connected.

So if you're just roaming around your base and not playing the game, you're going to get hit with leave buster.

EDIT:

Just because you say that you're not the reason why some lane "went up in smoke" does not mean that you didn't go back to the base and give up on the game.

You can stay in the game and still get hit by leave buster because you're not playing the game as in "trying to win," vs "just staying connected to not get flagged as an obvious afk/leaver"
