My friend wacky, was permanently suspended from league of legends for using third party programmes. However, these programmes were only used in two games. Both of these games resulted in a loss and so therefore did not effect the outcome of the game. After these games were played, my friends and I made sure that he removed the third party programmes to prevent the risk of being banned in the future. The third party programmes were used in the ranked flex mode, and so were not used as a method of climbing solo ELO, or as a method of boosting other players ELO. The programmes were used solely for entertainment purposes and were not used as a means of personal gain. Please reconsider the ban you placed him under. He realises that he has broken the terms of service and the thought of losing his account which he has spent a lot of money and time on, since season 3, is heartbreaking to us all. Let me hear your thoughts on the matter and hopefully we can sort the situation out.

I have no sympathy for those who get banned for cheating, no matter how little they cheated or if they still lost while cheating.

I'm sorry, but admitting to using the 3rd party programs shows that the punishment was deserved, and Riot will not lift the punishment. It doesn't matter if you only used them in 1 or 2 games, if you lost the games you used them in, or even what game mode you use them in, you were still using the 3rd party programs. As you already know, it is a violation of the ToU and will be met with a permanent ban.

Umm, since there's 6 yes votes I'm going with you and your friends all voted yes and then one person who has probably been banned for scripting.

He knowingly downloaded and used in ranked games (which doesn't matter as even normal games would be punished). He uninstalled not because he didn't want to get in trouble, but because they didn't work.

That he knew they would potentially cause him trouble just goes to show that he knew what he was doing was wrong.

He can create a new account and you guys can all still play together, but that's it. He's not getting the account back and I really don't have any sympathy for someone who knowingly installed and tried using 3rd party programs. I don't understand what you want to discuss.

You guys all speak the truth but as you can imagine its a huge inconvenience to lose all your skins and masteries etc. Its all just been a huge waste of money and time. If some of the higher tier skins/champions were reimbursed to a different account, that would at least be something, but I don't know exactly how riot handle these situations

Sorry for drawing you into all this guys and you're definitely entitled to your opinion, I just feel he at least deserves a second chance, given how long he has been a part of the community and how this is indeed his first offence (no chat bans or anything of the sort previously to my knowledge) it's really tearing him up and I can confidently say that he will try nothing of the sort ever again having realised the potential ramifications of such actions.

As far as the terms of service goes I bet a large majority of users have no idea what the consequences of this kind of thing are, until it's already too late, so I dunno I feel like an automatic permanent ban is a little excessive for what is in the end a free to play game meant for having fun.

Having said all this I am a support main after all so perhaps I am a little more lenient than the rest of you, I just hope that you see things from every perspective before judging. Not everything is as cut and dry as the rules make them out to be.

Why should he get anything back ? like literally why ? i dont rly know ...

If your argument is that he is stupid to use scripts/3rd party programs on his main account with hundreds of $$$ spent on it . . . its a bad argument , no he does not deserve anything back , it doesnt matter what the results were.

Honestly, if it was just for some kicks and for youtube; make an account specifically for that risk and try to keep it to norms or customs. Even if people don't see flex as serious, it is still ranked.

What third party program?

Also every program running on a PC is third party

Direct X is 3rd party Steam is 3rd party Creative / Soundcard Driver Apps / Programs 3rd party Nvidia / AMD Control Panel 3rd party

Team Viewer is 3rd party this can be used as a cheat if people let others share account through their own pc / ip address...

But having this or similar programs installed in general get a user banned?
