Is there a way to contact support when getting chat banned?

It really sucks getting chat banned over and over while mostly just defending myself. I main jungler and everyone in my silver elo is complaining only about their jungler. They feed their lane with 5 deaths in the first 10 mins and expect me to help them all the time.

I defend myself with text chat and Iam the one getting chat banned again. This cant be true. Its okay for me to get chat banned when Iam the one flaming but I wasnt and I want a RIOT employee to look over it...

I spent a lot of money on this game and this is just not acceptable...

If you're defending yourself, without using insults, flaming, or other forms of harassment, you won't get punished.

Given that you were punished, this is most likely not the case, especially since it takes many games where you were reported logged against your account in order to hit a punishment. Think of it like that punch card you get at a smoothie shop - you don't get the free smoothie until you get 10 punches, so you don't get punished until you get however many games logged against you. You've shown a pattern in your behavior, which is why you got punished. I think it'd be wise to stop "defending yourself" and instead mute the people complaining and move on with your game.

There's no such thing as self-defence in chat - you're not in danger from people's chat and typing back doesn't protect you from anything. The only thing in danger is your ego. Muting is the actual self-defence.

You can contact support through here; https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us

But they'll likely tell you that "defending yourself" is not an accepted excuse for flaming. You're not actually defending yourself if you're insulting them back (since nothing you say can actually stop them from continuing to flame you). So it's just retaliation.

You have the mute feature if you want to stop seeing their chat and the report tool if you want Riot to be informed of their poor behavior. There is no legitimate excuse to drop to their level and continue the argument.

I defend myself with text chat and Iam the one getting chat banned again.

Counter-attacking someone or responding with insults/condescending comments/negativity is not defending yourself. Respectfully standing up for yourself or muting the other player is.

You can send in a ticket to Player Support or post your chat logs here, but I suspect that the manner in which you responded to them violated the rules, and as a result you would face punishment.

The best way you can defend against flamers is this handy mute button or entering "/mute all" in chat.
