This Doesn't Get You Banned....

Toxic Player #1

Okay, Riot. I even sent an email to you with the attached screenshots (without player name removal) and zero ban on this guy. I didn't have time to screenshot the beginning part of the champ select, but I think I said something along the lines of "4 adc's....okay...." Regardless, threatening to track my ip and rape my sister and mother should hands down be ban-worthy, if not permabanned. I can't believe I'm the only one this person has raged against, unless he was account sharing, which would again be against the ToA. Unbelievable....

"hurdur eet's only a joek no rezzun to bahn meh for it"

-> The same people that end up making the "wtf rito banned me no reason" threads.

You may want to send a support ticket rather than an email.

Also, when did you send it?

RacoonHunter9/21/2016, 1:11:57 AM8 votes

It just goes to show that unless riot catches it in their computer, they refuse to do anything about player punishments.. So, this sends a message to all the toxic players that hey, as long as I am super toxic in the pre game lobby, then riot won't punish me. Post game lobby toxicity detection is also lacking. My vert first account was permaed about a month ago, and to further my evidence, the only chat listed on the card and subsequent riot support inquery was the stuff I said in game. I've since reformed and made a better cleaner account and changed my ways, but it still goes to show that as long as you aren't toxic in game where the computers can easily detect, the odds of you being punished

I even have proof that riot support DOES NOT even do it's job. If player behavior wrongfully does something to your account, they will not do anything.

I knew RITO doesn't ban a lot of people but come the heck on RITO!

Sarutobi9/20/2016, 8:45:35 PM4 votes

You have absolutely zero evidence that some type of punishment happen to this person. There is a reason why they dont discuss a player getting ban because its none of your business! Just like every other person you have to follow the rules and in the ToS they state that they do not disclose information like this for obvious reasons!

It sucks that something like this happen to you, but as long as your reported them and they continue to act like this they will get punished, Im not sure where you are getting that not only is this type of behavior acceptable, but that Riot does nothing to these types of people. Looking on these boards will show you that they do handle these types of people seriously and especially in this case i would assume they got a straight 14 day ban, or even Permaban depending on how often they act like this.

MonkeyMadness9/21/2016, 5:38:42 PM4 votes

Not only should that be met with a permaban, but a criminal investigation, as that is not just an example of in game toxicity but a threat to inflict bodily harm. IMO, with a report like that, Riot should tell you that they've been banned just as a matter of safety (even though the likelihood of them actually doing anything is basically nonexistent).

However, here is (I believe) the issue. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Riot STILL doesn't see pre/post game chat in reports right? Meaning that you were forced to send this in a support ticket. That means an actual person would have to read your support ticket (which clearly doesn't ever happen) so it's very likely that riot hasn't even acknowledged that this actually even happened, let alone reviewed the case. Nice job Riot, keep up the good negligence.

You can't really give this too much attention because you told them you were going to report them. That's against the rules too, because it makes them get mad and toxic-- case and point here, where he says something horrible in response.

He definitely deserves a ban but you're not blameless either, and telling on him would be like telling on yourself.

bill849/21/2016, 3:02:38 AM2 votes

I would like to point out that you are also breaking the rules by asking people to report this person, even though what they said was terrible.

Draven Wun Trick9/20/2016, 9:09:04 PM2 votes

punish him plz!!!

Ares9/21/2016, 6:17:29 PM2 votes

Lol to the people saying "Maybe he got a chat ban" I've seen tons of people get 2 week bans for less.

General Esdeath 9/21/2016, 6:46:03 PM2 votes

"Nah he's just kidding with you m8 hehe xd now block those names or I swear to Phreak we're gonna find you." -Riot

Stasis6919/21/2016, 6:34:42 AM2 votes

Won't happen.

Instead, expect a ban yourself within 48 hours.

genya039/21/2016, 5:03:39 AM2 votes

He threaten you. That should be bannable. Riot has zero tolerance for that.

BuniStew9/21/2016, 6:00:15 AM2 votes

Its riot they don't care. You can troll and say all this crap as much as you want. It promotes more troll not that I support this so seeing this happen to you and me is really sad.

nm10109/20/2016, 9:20:37 PM2 votes

Had a similar incident, took around 2 months but the individual was permabanned. I figure they have a backlog of these "out of client" type reports that take a while to go through.

Nami Want Salami9/21/2016, 7:05:43 PM1 votes

hehe xd

Solitair9/21/2016, 7:33:44 PM1 votes

Physical threats like this should be perma-ban

Around999People9/21/2016, 9:52:50 PM1 votes

I mean stalking someone's profile to see if they are banned isn't a good thing. But then again, it could be that it's the persons smurf account and they got their main perma banned

President Swa1n9/21/2016, 2:11:12 AM1 votes

If Riot does end up banning this guy, just saying, you likely will not get an in client notification. I believe you only get notified if YOUR report was the one that got him banned.

AFAIK

MadmanWithBox9/21/2016, 11:30:49 PM1 votes

The Player Behavior Team has a gnarly, constant backlog of these kind of tickets and emails to go through. So, it makes sense that it would take a while to get to your message. That's one of the reason that they prefer you use the in-client report feature whenever possible.

Anyway, Riot does not typically disclose when they take disciplinary action against an account. It is considered somewhat personal information.

MariusfPresident9/21/2016, 2:33:11 AM1 votes

Shouldn't you/riot even be able to like..find the guy and sue him for the things he said?

Fenikkusu19/21/2016, 4:26:45 AM1 votes

Well, if this guy spent money recently on their game, there is no way he'll get any kind of ban, because Rito will love you as long as you give them $$$$ and LC$$$ BIG PLAYS PLAY OUR FLASHY CHAMPS PLS.

Bob the Toastr9/21/2016, 6:26:17 AM1 votes

Yet another situation where WE NEED TRIBUNAL RITO PLEASE.
Permabanned is extreme, especially if this is the only instance, but a new Tribunal would let us see his other chats and games.

no killy me9/21/2016, 11:14:15 AM1 votes

Not to say this isn't a problem. But this isn't toxic player #1 that statement insults everyone who has had more toxic players in their games.

Maximum Morde9/21/2016, 11:18:43 AM1 votes

I don't see the problem. This is just Conan the Barbarian type stuff.

Finn Teh Human9/21/2016, 2:19:03 PM1 votes

Riot doesn't discuss punishments but that doesn't mean they can't say that action is being taken. They send us notifications now so why couldn't they tell you that something happened?

DargoTrox9/21/2016, 2:44:06 PM1 votes

To the OP, I was the enemy marksman that game. I'm so sorry for destroying your entire team, but it was fun!
