Afk ques

I haven't afked in over a month and yesterday i had to afk one game and got 20 minute low priority ques. I've had problems with afks before but i was wondering if the severity of the penalty will reset ever or do i just need a new account because whenever i afk in the future i will get 20 minute ques. Everyone knows real life comes before league and i know i am responsible for not anticipating the needing to leave, but im wondering if any provisions are in place to reward non afk behavior or if no matter how long since my last afk, i will just get 20 minute ques every time.

I think its around a month for each tier of penalty.

They need to ban afk's for a month from that account. That will fix it then, but having common sense to fix a very bad problem and having balls are two different things.
