Why this game is toxic? Explanation

avlad··2 votes·757 views

This game is toxic because is played mostly by people with a toxic mind.

Describing toxic players:

They hate themselves.

They have no jobs and they play this game for 6-10 hours daily and of course after so many hours your mind isn't coherent anymore.

They are addicted to this game and they just sleep and play LOL for countless hours. Of course with such a lifestyle your mind is destroyed. You are in another world lol.

Also the game is created to be a compulsively activity. You do the same thing over and over and over and over again and again and again and again with different champions but you always press 4 buttons for hundreds of times in every game waiting for that moment of pleasure when you hit your abilities in a "professional" way. Also for the first 10-15 minutes you just right click and last hitting or moving around like pro players ( don't forget to right click every 0.5 second) . Another bad design is that the matches are long and if you are addicted to this game waiting for that moment of pleasure and the moment doesn't come for 40 minutes you start to rage, troll or teach your team how to play because you have countless hours of playing time and some useless ranked achievement so you are an expert in LOL.

When they play with their friends who are as toxic as them, most of the time toxic players act cool with each other even when they play bad because they are real life friends so their identity is known. On the other hand, when their identity is unknown they are at their 100% of toxicity. They don't care about what they are doing because nobody will ever know who they are.

So if you are wondering why this game is so toxic just look around with what kind of people you share your time in this game.

The overwhelming majority of players are not toxic, it just the tiny little percent that we hear about and remember.

I think it is more like 50/50. I do know this game, for whatever reason, generally attracts toxic people.

From my perspective, and that of my friends, is that toxic players are quite rare. It is not very frequent at all that I run into one. Also, less than 1% of the community receives any punishment for toxicity. Also, it is a part of human nature to only remember the worst parts, are you telling me that literally every other person you meet is toxic? Because I highly doubt that.

It is honestly more like 20% of the players in a game 2 people. Generally if you solo you will find a couple people in every game going at it.

Sorry if you didn't understand, when playing solo, we all agree that its very rare to find someone being toxic, if you really find toxic players that often, sorry for your poor luck, the majority of the player base(as in, not this forum), doesn't have the same experience. Also, you JUST hit level 30 and are still seeing according to LoLKing so you do not have very much experience at all. ALSO, if your seeding, your most likely playing with Bronze league players, who have a reputation for being slightly more toxic than others(Although when I was still bronze I still didn't see that much toxicity).

This is true. I have never been in trouble for being toxic until I started playing ranked games this pre season ( I wasn't toxic during season 5 where I hit silver 3). It's almost like since no one gives a shit about the pre season, they can be dicks, trolls, intentionally feed and then you get in trouble when you call them out on it and ask them NOT to be toxic..

in my experience 80% of the community is toxic the ones who start it the ones who retaliate and the ones who spur it on. its a rarity to see people who are pleasant

Ouch, are you serious? I have played for over two years and I dont see toxicity very often. I mean, I looked on LoLKing, and you are in Bronze, and I know that rank is notorious for toxicity. I really didnt notice that much when I was there, although I diffidently agree that most of the time when multiple toxic players pop up, its because one starts it and then the other retaliates.

there was a time when toxicity seemed between 40-60% too this was before the 2014 worlds when the meta of surrendering started before that i saw a surrender ove in every 35 games aproximately. me ive been to silver and regularly get golds in my matchmaking idk why. but i can say its not toxic just because there is alot of bronze as in the last 4 months the amount of bronze in my avg game dropped to 2-3 and silvers and some golds fill the spaces there are games when i get more but it hasnt been regular lately i wont pretend to know exact matchmaking

That's called "negativity bias". 80% is every person in your match but yourself (and one other if you're including the other team).

Negativity bias is the tendency to recall more easily negative experiences than you do neutral and positive ones. It's simply really easy for one person in your match to piss you off and you label the entire day as a negative experience in the community. It's not something you typically intentionally try to remember, you just overlook the guy that said "gj thx" or nothing at all.

almost every game i play everyone on my team and the enemy team is playing it obvjously wount be 8/10 every game and im not perfect every few days i may react or pop a cap and freak out too so there are days when everyone on both team includeing me may be negative but for the most part i try to hold it together sanity wise and gameplay wise

I am toxic, play this game like.... 3 hours a day? maybe... maaayyyybe... have a job at a church... sexy and brilliant girlfriend... idk dude.. you wouldnt be a good therapist.

However i am toxic due to people being slow, unuseful, trolly... if you will.

I am toxic because people have the ability to make each game unique but waste it freaking out at the dmg that zed does.

I am toxic, because people are soft and dont take criticizm well...

also! i am toxic because i am a pirate... it comes with the blood...

I think you're oversimplifying toxic players, as well. Lots of people are toxic, not just the small percentage of basement dwellings morlocks. I think it's important to point out that is a small percentage. You seem to think that MOST of the players live in their mother's basement. I am quite sure that isn't true.

The GAME is fine.

Some of the people playing it are the problem.
