Even for a zero tolerance system, I believe this is a bit harsh.

In all chat I was trading jokes with the other team about incest, necrophilia, and other dark humour shit. I understand that some people could've gotten uncomfortable, but the mute button is always available. What's happened, happened and I'm over it, but this seems a bit harsh to me.

The mute button is not an excuse to say things that have a high likelihood of offending someone or making someone uncomfortable.

Just like the fact bulletproof vests are a thing doesn't mean you can go shooting people in the chest.

For your chat to be reviewed by the system, someone has to report you. That means that someone was not a willing participant in the shit. The mute function is not an excuse for saying whatever you want to say.
