All mute function
Can we please have a setting in the menu to mute in game chat already. I find it unfair that every game I have to deal with peoples ideas. I just want to play, pings are fully sufficient. Stop forcing "verbal" communication on me.

/mute all in chat and it is over.
As Deathgod5 has said, simply type in /mute all into chat at the start of the game, and it's over.
I'd rather not give the option to people.
As somebody who doesn't flame and does use chat to convey strategic info, I'm unfairly punished by implementing this system. Currently, I have a reasonable expectation that everybody will be able to see what I say at the start of each match, and I give them no reason to mute me. When you allow players to opt out of chat entirely in this way, I lose the expectation that my communication will be heard.
/mute all requires ZERO verbal interaction. you seem to want riot to implement not having to type one sentence in chat JUST for you. Just suck it up. also, people are giving you a fine solution and you're just flaming them it seems
