14 day ban for being toxic 1 game no warning

I called my Jungler a %%% 2 times since it was the shortest insult i could think of in first 5-10 minutes of the game and then wrote about why the game was over 2-3 times and i went 0/8 which wasn't even an intentional feed...and i got a 14 day ban. I have no chance of climbing to gold since its the end of the season which is the only reason the ban seems unjust and truly bothers me. Why didn't i just get a huge chat restriction? was a 14 day ban truly necessary.....and also that game was the first time i've called someone a %%% in a very very long time from what i can remember...riot just give me a huge chat restriction or remove my chat box or something a 14 day ban isn't necessary as i'm not Inting or trying to make my teammates lose.

Just claim that you were "coerced" into saying it by a teammate. It has been getting people un-banned as of late.

That would only work if there was proof. For that person, Riot Tantrum even stated one of their teammates was threatening to int if his team didn't say it what they said.

As such, claiming they were when they weren't won't do anything because the chat logs from all players in the game wont match with the "i was forced to do it" claim.

It's hate speech, and definitely has no place in a sportsmanlike gaming environment. Hence the zero tolerance policy.

It's not about the length of the word -- it's about the hate inherent in those three letters.

It also means cigarette and its commonly used... I dont know why you guys classify it as hate speech when everyone asks for "hand me a %%%" or "gonna smoke %%%%"

Words have many meanings you're right but it is not considered common to ask for a cig in that fashion in NA, so the result still stands

The review system is a machine learning system. Given the specific context that may exist alluding to the its use as a colloquialism for cigarette, it is reasonable that it will learn to not punish for that set of phrases. OP specifically meant to use it as a slur, which is what got him the punishment. Given that the slur is considered hate speech, that is why the punishment skipped the chat restriction tiers.

I can't really say it better than Djinn did hate speech is not accepted in most places, riot has A zero tolerance policy is one which imposes strict punishment for infractions of a stated rule, with the intention of eliminating undesirable conduct.

WHY DID I SKIP RESTRICTIONS? We have a zero-tolerance policy for extreme negative behavior as well as extremely offensive language and remarks made in game towards other players. Since it is a severe disregard for the Summoner’s Code this sort of behavior can result in skipping to a Two week or Permanent suspension. Suspensions of this degree based on negative behavior will not likely be reduced or removed.

Homophobic slurs count in there.
