6 minute ban in matchmaking for missing a champ ban before the counter hit zero

Not sure if this is the right board for this....

So after sitting in queue for 5 minutes and being recycled twice, I now have a suspention for 6 minutes because I didn't get to the locked button for champ ban in time.... It's a ban... and I was selected... why would one offense set me back instantly like that? This punishment is ridiculous and beyond excessive!... maybe in ranked but in Normal? come on... bans are optional in the first place. Someone please explain this logic to me...

Its just the standard time penalty for dodging a match. Do it more frequently and the time will increase. The reason is that you are matching up with 9 other players and wasting their time. Seriously though, 6 min is nothing.

I could be wrong here (and please feel free to respectfully correct me if I am), but it sounds like you may have a history of leaving/dodging queues, hence why you got placed in Low Priority Queue.

Well.. no bans aren't optional. If you dont want bans then go blind pick and not draft. If you dont pick a ban then the game assumes you are afk and it counts as a dodge.

You were punished just like the people who dodged ending in you being recycled twice. If you're complaining about being recycled, then don't complain about getting punished when you do the same thing they did. It's not hard to pay attention and lock in.
