I reported someone via support ticket, who managed to throw hate speech "f**" and wishing death (hanging and bleach) into one sentence.

I was greatly suprised to receive a response with in minutes concerning the severity of telling someone to kill themselves (although they didn't mention the homophobic slur oddly enough).

I was equally suprised when I op.gged the offender and saw only one game played (immediately after reported game) and my finger prepared to slam some honor vote Riot's way....

Turns out I hadn't refreshed their op.gg profile.... he's been, and still is, playing (+5 days from report).

You can't run from karma forever. Sooner or later this guy will be punished. Have faith.

That's not exactly the point, it wasn't just a report that one day might add up... I received a direct response from a Riot employee saying they would look at it.

So either A. That speech isn't an auto punish with increased severity or B. A case doesn't actually make them look at it and is the same as just hitting "report" in game.

If it is B, then don't reply and close the ticket with a reponse saying it is being looked into, or at least clarify you mean metaphorically.

It was probably an automated response and they haven't actually looked into it yet. I'm pretty sure they have backlogs of reports so they can't just look at them immediately. Gotta keep in mind and understand that millions of players on this game daily. Have some understanding of the vast, massive amount of people that is. A MILLION. It doesn't sound like a lot these days, but it is.

Thank you for taking the time to log on and send a ticket in. I will investigate into this behavior. Although I can't tell you exactly what I'm going to do for privacy reasons, but I'll let you know that wishing death on other players is a serious offense. With that being said, please keep using the in game report feature as well, it helps us so much to track and deal out punishments.

If you have other concerns let me know, other wise I wish you the best in the future matches!

Fyi: I didn't mention in the ticket it was for death threats so they have had to read the chat I posted to make the statement they did.

I understand there's volume. I also understand how a support ticket based operation functions. I would have lost my job if I closed a ticket saying I would look into something and didnt. Which leads me to my original premise of : Is the answer A or B as stated above?

Edit #1: here is the chat in question.. I have to admit that I am not sure the asterisks are a homophobic slur. It just seemed to fit the context and was the only 3 letter word I thought they might censor.

Edit 2: When I copy and paste it it only puts one asterisk, in the ingame chat it was 3, as well as the copy and paste I did into the ticket.
