I often like to start stuff with the enemy in all chat and if they want to throw smack talk back at me then I see nothing wrong talking smack to them. this is a competitive video game! im not telling my team to uninstall cause they suck I am talking smack to the ENEMY!! not my team.. isnt that the point? to beat the enemy? lower the enemies moral so I can win easier.. I dont see how this is a bannable offense

Sure, they might have started it, but remember that the more text you type the less time you have to actually play. Plus, by using all-chat for your toxicity you're effectively making a correct 9x report plausible.

If you say these kinds of things to people's faces I'm honestly concerned for your social life. It's part of the game, but you're here for fun. If they aren't in on your trash talk, don't do it all. If you really want to trash talk, get yourself a 5-man premade and flame each other to your heart's content, but don't let it ruin the game for peoole who just want to play.

Because as far as i know you can do that in game, just as long as you arent attacking someone, using racial/derogitory words, or wishing death/cancer on someone. Sadly some people consider those as "talking smack" which is just idiotic. But chat logs will show us what exactly you mean when you say you were just talking smack at the enemy.

In truth, you have no idea who you are talking to, what has happened to them that day, or what they value/expect out of the community. Even an individual who never uses the chat function, is still a member albeit a very passive one. You have shown us, through this post, your description of your interactions in game, and your boards history, show that you are quite active in the community. The punishment that you describe is the community calling you out on a violation of the expectations of this community and encouraging you to be a more amicable participant. The majority of these comments to your original concern are doing the same thing. You might try listening to your peers.

alasarcher1 votesWhat does it matter if its "competitive video game"? What kind of argument is that? Tennis is a competitive game, you dont see player talk smack to his opponent. I havent seen any "smack talk" in water polo. Volleyball rarely has smack talk. No "smack talk" in handball.
