I often like to start stuff with the enemy in all chat and if they want to throw smack talk back at me then I see nothing wrong talking smack to them. this is a competitive video game! im not telling my team to uninstall cause they suck I am talking smack to the ENEMY!! not my team.. isnt that the point? to beat the enemy? lower the enemies moral so I can win easier.. I dont see how this is a bannable offense

It's pretty unsportsmanlike to purposefully try making the enemy feel bad. Sure, they might have started it, but remember that the more text you type the less time you have to actually play. Plus, by using all-chat for your toxicity you're effectively making a correct 9x report plausible.
You're not supposed to harass anyone. Neither your team, nor the enemy.

Remember riot wants to make this game for people in every age group. So what this means is basically you have to go into every game expecting 10 year olds to be your team mate or your enemy.
As long as you didn't use racist or prejudice comments, then I think it should be allowed to smack tal the enemy

Because as far as i know you can do that in game, just as long as you arent attacking someone, using racial/derogitory words, or wishing death/cancer on someone. Sadly some people consider those as "talking smack" which is just idiotic. But chat logs will show us what exactly you mean when you say you were just talking smack at the enemy.
League of Legends is a community made up of many different people with many different expectations, beliefs and values. You are also a member of that community and us such need to be respectful of all other members. In truth, you have no idea who you are talking to, what has happened to them that day, or what they value/expect out of the community. As such it is important that any member of the community is respectful of this.
It might be a cliched analogy, but you wouldn't go spouting off to an absolute stranger in a face to face situation. Amateur and professional sports alike frown upon sledging as tactic.

i talk smack almost every game since season 2 and never had any banns or restrictions. guess your smack is somehow violating the rules.

What does it matter if its "competitive video game"? What kind of argument is that? Tennis is a competitive game, you dont see player talk smack to his opponent. I havent seen any "smack talk" in water polo. Volleyball rarely has smack talk. No "smack talk" in handball.
Talking crap isn't allowed no matter what..
I understand that you can have more chances of winning when you tilt the enemies, but it's still against the rules and you should stop doing it if you dont want a perma ban.
